Chicken Kofta Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Onion
500g Chicken Mince
1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
1 pinch Red Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Powder
1 Egg
2 tablespoons Breadcrumbs
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Prepare the Onion:
Finely chop the onion. You can use a food processor for a finer texture if desired.
Mix the Chicken Kofta Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped onion, chicken mince, ground coriander, red chili powder, smoked paprika powder, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
Use your hands to thoroughly mix the ingredients until well combined. Ensure that the spices are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Shape the Kofta:
With clean, damp hands, take a portion of the mixture and shape it into a small, elongated oval or cylindrical form. The size can vary based on your preference.
Repeat:
Continue shaping the kofta until all the mixture is used, placing each formed kofta on a plate or tray.
Cooking Options:
Grilling/Broiling: Preheat your grill or broiler. Grill the koftas for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are fully cooked and have a nice char.
Pan-Frying: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a bit of oil. Pan-fry the koftas for about 8-10 minutes, turning to ensure even cooking.
Oven Baking: Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Place the koftas on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked.
