You are the only non-Tibetan KZbinr, I have seen, who has done a momo recipe video and talked about the origins of this Tibetan dish and correctly at that. Momo is commonly misunderstood as a Nepali dish, which is inaccurate although it has become one of the most popular dishes in Nepal and increasingly parts of India as well. Thank you for doing your due diligence & sharing correct information about our Tibetan culture with your viewers 💛
@surazlama24013 жыл бұрын
Nope momo is nepali Dish.. Its True we were inspired from Tibetan Dumplings but the the difference is we have added spices and all to make it a momo to our liking and the every momo dish in Nepal and India is what we eat in Nepal... Spaghetti is not chinese dish although it was inspired from chinese Noodles... So yeah we were really inspired from Tibetan Culture no doubt...

Tibetan originally dont use chutneys in dumplings. Its the people of Kathmandu , Nepal that named dumplings as momos and fusioned with spicy chutney to make it popular . Dumplings are Tibetans and Momos are Nepalese both are same but named differently plus chutney in Nepalese is addition.

I am a Newar (Pradhan) from Darjeeling! Mostly, Tibetans use yeast to raise their dough to make the momos! We, in Darjeeling, do not! My wife makes awesome chicken momos! The chicken mix she makes is so simple! Chicken, Onion, Ginger, Salt, that's it! Simple and tasty!😁 P.S. : Steamed chicken is very dry. So using some chicken fat while mincing the meat for the mix makes the momos juicer and tastier, albeit a little greasy!
