Well, the only thing better than a cooking with clams video is having mama clams at the end. Great video.

i was hoping to see someone more qualified comment on the feather find to see if where im leaning is correct, but to me it looks like a red-tailed hawk, more specifically one of the primaries from a juvenile red

I think you are definitely right about it being a red tail hawk

Makes excellent jerky. Boil it for ten minutes, put in marinade over night and then dehydrate. Good texture and absorbs what ever flavors you use.

Interesting. I've sauteed COTW with peppers and onions and it's merely okay; I felt it would have benefitted from a marinade first. I tried dehydrating some and freezing it, and later put it in the slow cooker withr a roast, but despite simmering for hours it never rehydrated and remained like a crumbly piece of chalk. PS, Normally I would expect to find chicken of the woods frequently on my trail walks but we're in a drought here in Southern New England and there's virtually no fall mushrooms of any kind to be found.

Great video Will! Love these videos as they relate to almost everyone in Canada & the US where mushrooms grow wild. You and momma Clams said it soft. And I thought, just like McYucky’s, but that crunch was unbelievable. Thanks for sharing!!!

Hey Will, do you have a bib sponsor? That had me drooling om myself and that was merely from how they looked. If they tasted half as good as they looked they had to be delectable! If they weren't, I don't think Mama Clams would've had thirds.

That’s a great idea for a meal ! I’m thinking that this would be a great way to eat some of the more far gone mushrooms. The woodbines would give a little more body to the nugget possibly. What’s your thoughts ?
