Stan never got all the recognition he should have received. Definitely one of the top five blues guitarists.

Totally agree. The best musicians are not popular in magazines, tv, etc. Now the celebrities are pretty ones or they wear little clothes or little brains. Greetings all thumbs up

He never played for recognition and that so overrated What is an award dead to a giving soul anyway???

Your so wrong. Do you even know artists that started as inspired by his works???

The problem was . The builders created to clowns to get ownership to build others to market cared nothings to a came from. Their goal was to promote and make a profit off of. Stan Webb was a remarkable artist and Christine stayed to see it!

Freddie King always spoke highly of Stan ( and Luther Allison). I have been privileged to see him quite a few times going back to a gig at the Marquee in the 70's. Stan had cut his hand and as we queued outside there was rumours he could not play. Stan got up on stage and played a blinder with a killer version of Poor Boy as an encore with the guitar dancing between the stereo speakers. This clip shows the man showing all his chops. Stan and Peter Greene - this little island produce tow of the very best blues guitarists. Always loved his vocals as well.

I was building a brick gable on a site in Lydney and recorded this on mp3 plugged into my makita radio. Jan 22 2021. Clear blue sky, very cold , sun frost and this blasting out 6m up the scaffold... bliss!I think it was the 1990 live version

Stan Webb would use your description and fold it into a blues song about a woman being, cold as a brick. Long live Chicken Shack.

As great as Stan is he will always be in Peter Green's shadow . I saw Chicken Shack in 1969 and thought I had seen the best guitarist in town who also could sing, he was awesome Then Fleetwood Mac comes in with a guitarist named Peter Green who somehow was clearly the better guitarist and also had a voice of gold . I love you Stan along with your albums from the late 60's. You are one of my favorites along with Peter Green, Kim Simmons, Mike Bloomfield,. Capolinna of Quicksilver and Rory Gallagher. You all shine bright but their is only one Green God. Great playing on this song , thanks

I saw Chicken Shack way back when Christine Perfect was in the band and they used to be playing B. B. King stuff on the radio. I thought that they were absolutely brilliant. I didn't realise then how good Stan Webb actually was and is now. I used to wonder what ever happened to Andy Sylvester and Dave Bidwell, anyone know?
