You always cook so healthily. Your stir fry looked delicious! I don't peel carrots, either. I heard the skin has the most nutrition (or maybe I just made that up because I don't like to peel them).🤔 Little Rebecca is always there with her little plate, God bless her. I use to have to call broccoli "little trees" in order to get my children to eat it. They'd much rather have a candy bar than a vegetable. My one son always hid his peas under his mashed potatoes. Those were the days. Now he's 50 yrs old and he loves peas. I'm 75 and I like everything! Thanks for another opportunity to be with you and Sarah. I love every video you show us. Now, go rest. Sweet dreams!!!! Toni

Take your large pan to a thrift store ours always has individual lids. You can match your pan up with one that fits. I think it is wonderful the way you point how you substitute foods to accommodate for your diabetes it is overwhelming for some just diagnosed but so important to keep glucose levels down.

I was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago but they said I can have brown rice, which is what they made. Maybe it’s different for everyone?
@ozarkfamilyhomestead Жыл бұрын
@@CheapsKate77 Yeah, I can have brown rice, just not much because my blood sugar will skyrocket. I do try to follow a Trim Healthy Mama way of eating and part of that plan is separating meals with fat (like the sesame oil here) from meals with carbs. It's a little bit of an extra step from a normal diet for diabetics. 🙂 I'm sure sorry to hear that you're on this journey with me now. 💕

@@ozarkfamilyhomestead I go tomorrow for a class on Nutrition, and then I have to take 2 more classes (not sure for what), so hopefully I will get more specific info as to what exactly I should/shouldn’t eat. I will look into the plan you mentioned and ask them about it.

Your chicken stir fry looked delicious!! I invented a new chicken breast recipe a couple weeks ago when I was feeling adventurous. It turned out to be the most amazing chicken ever! It was a fireworks show of each of the different flavours. It can go with sliced seasoned oven potatoes (butter, seasoning salt and onion) or veg stir fry with rice. How I did it was - Sliced up uncooked chicken breast into strips, placed in freezer bag and set aside. Then in a big mixing bowl I put in an unmeasured amount of : Salt and pepper basil Italian seasoning paprika garlic powder onion powder parsley seasoning salt honey garlic sauce soy sauce. 1/4-1/2 cup of Water Then mixed well and dumped into the chicken bag and made sure all chicken was in the sauce. Marinade in fridge for at least 4 hours. For cooking, add some bag sauce into frying pan to heat up and then add chicken to cook fully, adding more sauce as needed. I call this Angies chicken! lol
