How do you fix the neck to one of YOUR cigar boxes?
@mollylewis71992 жыл бұрын
I was impressed with your bridge. I’ve been tempted to make one but I’ve never used a bolt on neck. I was thinking about making a tenor and wondered if the top would require any bracing. Any thoughts?

Most cigar boxes are thick enough not to need any bracing.

What should be the measurement from bridge to nut. I put mine at 15" and it sounds terrible (I'm a novice)
@ChickenboneJohn Жыл бұрын
It depends on what scale length (bridge to nut) the fretboard is fretted for. The 12th fret is always half way along the scale length, so for a 15" scale length, the 12th fret should be 7 1/2" from the nut.

How large should the sound hole be?

There's no formula or rule, I just cut it out so that it looks right.
