Of all the tube video's I like watching, you have more fun building and playing than any of them. I'm 76 years old and like building cbg's. Can't play worth a hoot but I do enjoy watching someone that can play very good. Building is so much relaxing and fun. I don't sell any but just give them away to family and friends. Thanks for the great stuff you put on here.

Sounds great, built one last year sans equalizer. Sounds good but not as good as yours. May have to do a retro fit. Thanks for all your great ideas. God bless

what happens if you change to steel strings? could you try, please?

It would probably bend the neck

customer wanted nylon strings. you can build one and give it a try... i’m sure it would be loud like a mandolin 😎
@PuckettCigarBoxGuitar3 жыл бұрын
nope... the neck is rock solid 😎
@w13rdguy3 жыл бұрын
Nylon is the right string for uke - and you don't have to have a magnetic pickup , so there's that. (Random thought: Cigar box mando, haha!) I dunno what's the string tension of nylon, but it's not much, if any, less than steel.

Takes me back a few years when I bought my little Tenor Ooo-Coo-Lay-Lee, (to the sound of Over The Rainbow), sitting beside me on the chair the mo'! A real fun instrument, (like a CBG), compared to a normal Gee-Tar! You did well with that build Del..sounds, and plays, just like the real thing! ..and had to keep remembering to breathe as you play your pieces. Wonderful stuff! Take care, all, and be SAFE!....😀...😀...!

What's the scale length on that? 14" soprano, 15" concert, or 17" tenor?

That is not an ukulele, that is a functional piece of artwork. Just one question. Is that a modified strat tremolo cover on the backside ?
