Chickens Jumping for Bread

3 ай бұрынOur chickens love bread. So I brought them out a few loaves to eat. Even though they like it, too much of it is a bad thing. So I also fed them some oats, hot pepper flakes, basil, and black fly larva.

All poultry gets diarrhea from bread, but it tastes so good to them!

Also, your hens behave so good, mine would flock instantly and start grabbing that piece of bread. The only other reason they would run so fast is if a rooster would sound a hawk alarm.

Our hens are very spoiled. They do fight a lot and it's tempting to get a rooster just to keep the hens in line, but don't really want our eggs fertilized just yet. Which breed of rooster would you recommend? Also, we had a hawk in the run once and my daughter ran out, grabbed it, and threw it outside of their pen. I told her not to do that again. lol!
