ChickKing is like a staple for us here in the state of Kerala. Since they launched here (Dubai based but owned by Indians from my state) they have been a huge hit. There are lots of Keralites who live & work in the Gulf countries and when they come back they want the same food they got there (my family included). I think ChicKing has 80 outlets in my state alone and many more across India. KFC took a long time to get here (they were initially stagnating in just the big Indian metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi) and by the time they came down south to Kerala, Chicking was huge. So other than the name being ChickQueen the other differences I noticed is that we don't get mac & cheese, no "biscuit", the chicken legs look huge (hey it's the Canadian chicken), also it's just fried chicken & grilled chicken here (they don't call it tandoori as it's not cooked in a tandoor oven). When I buy it for my family, we just get either the grilled 9 piece bucket or the fried chicken chicken bucket with some fries and garlic sauce.

Wow That chicken looked amazing & the Store owner/ manager was really passionate about his product. So impressed, I googled where they are in Aus, unfortunately at the min, only in WA, which is the other side of the country. We can hope they'll head east at some point. The deserts looked amazing too. I've never had Pakistani deserts so definitely something I will try. Great video. Thank you.

Great video Ken, Appreciate you supporting local joints around my area. Quick suggestion, the plaza you went to where there is Chick Queen has so many multi cultural cuisines its amazing. Few places i would personally recommend would be the Mandi Afandi (Yemenis Cusine) their Lamb mandi and other lamb dishes is a must try. Also, another hidden gem is Kerala Curry House (South Indian Cuisine) Its a must try nothing like other Indian food. Thanks!

Also, Taste of Malayalee right beside Shirin Mahal is a grocery store with an amazing take out station at the back.. Its a go to joint for people from Kerala. You gotta go there too my man!
