Xavier (and Naval News): Thanks for posting this. The Swedes have always been sensible and this interview is no exception. From my national (Dutch) perspective I hope you guys will do some follow-up on the sub industry capabilities (4:34 ish) given our recent Naval order. Cheers.

The Western allies need to work much more closely together on weapons and platforms. So much money is wasted on redundant efforts. Yes you need backup research but we don't need five or six sixth generation fighters. We should have maybe two or three that aren't redundant, but are comparable. Spread out the procurement in accordance with each country's defense budgets.

Xavier seemed to be blushing a bit at the end. Anyone would think he has never met a female Admiral before. Excellent interview and good we have Sweden in NATO.

Hopefully the Swedish navy of the future does not have to rely on the enemy run aground to be noticed

Oh, I think they can largely rely on those old tactics when we look at the performance of the Black Sea fleet :-D

Yeah because they have not developed since 1981and Submarines are so easy to find in the most difficult archipelago.

@@AndyWoohoo666 I have to make you disappointed. You are wrong. The Baltic Sea is the most difficult Sea to find and operate submarines. It is because the shallow water and the different layers of freshwater, salt water and temperatures. So to find submarines is harder than Atlantic sea, Pacific Ocean or Indian ocean.

@@lohlund6906 Heard about irony before? To start with, some fun fact. I joined the military in 1981, I was there ( Torhamnsskär ) with the Coastal Rangers/ KJS because it was at the end of my service and I also grew up in Karlskrona. So the only one disappointment is me for not being able to communicate irony, but from now on I will add a spoiler alert on my comments when being ironic.
