Finally a reactor who really understands the greatness... of floridabelle 🙂

18:50 Yes! Opeth's main songwriter, Mikael Akerfeldt (vocals/guitars) is that good...he's written so many majestic riffs and amazing lyrics it's unfathomable.

Bleak (and the entire blackwater park-album), Baying of the hounds, The moor, Masters apprentices, Deliverence, A fair judgement, Moonlapse Vertigo.... the list is (almost) neverending. Amazing band, enjoy the ride!

The Leper Affinity would be nice to see a live reaction of, not to common and one hell of a banger from Opeth:)
@notchjohnson254011 ай бұрын
19:00 - The transitions in Opeth's songs so easily catch one entirely by surprise, while at the same time being so fluent and seamless to the extend, that only seconds later you might feel like the transition could never have been any other way. Paradoxically it almost makes you feel like an idiot for not seeing it coming :D

Opeth!! Yes! Please listen to "When" from My Arms, Your Hearse! I stumbled upon Opeth unintentionally and I have never been so excited about discovering new music!

MAYH is incredible! April Ethereal was my initiation to Opeth. What a band!!!
@recurrencetheorem426411 ай бұрын
You stated this was one of the best songs you have reacted to... you will be happy to know Opeth has a library of songs of this caliber (Harlequin and Masters Apprentice for me). Opeth also has a wide variety of music from death metal to 70's prog (no growl) so you can easily find several albums that you like... or like them all! They are not of this world.

DELIVERENCE please... Live or studio is killer!

Ok, I just heard you say deliverence next... YOU ARE IN FOR IT! You will never look back at this point.
@oregonwoodelf11 ай бұрын
Man there's an easy dozen or more songs of theirs that are like this. 10 min long epics loaded with transitions from heavy to melodic to folk to 70s prog. You're in for a treat exploring this catalogue. My favorite obsession in music ever🙌🧝🤘
@julianaserrano175611 ай бұрын
yep... I think I reacted just like that when I first heard this :) sounds about right. And now, many years later, they are still my number one band faaaaaaar on the top and I see no change in that coming my way lol. Deliverance next yeeeeessss I will be here for it, I believe it is gonna be a hit :D Thanks for the reaction.

Opeth is one of my favorites! This song is actually new to me though (I haven't really gotten into this album like I have with Blackwater Park, Damnation, and Sorceress) but I'm loving it so far - so much movement in it! Edit: hell yes, Deliverance next! Maybe Harvest or The Drapery Falls after that? 🙏

Opeth .... For all seasons ! It's phenomenal and unique. Every part with every section of any riff and melody... It's just untouchable 💯 your reactions to Opeth is so damn good and pure dude :-) keep up the good work 🤘👏

What an epic song,live is even better, maybe this is the start of an opeth run of songs. Try moon above sun below next,a totally different sound,but still amazing. All eras are worth a listen.

Nobody would be watching this video unless they like a slow burn. So don't be concerned with people trying to rush. This is one of those songs you might want to take your time to appreciate. I could recommend Coil+Heirapparent.

Opeth so good. heard them when i was like 15. 20 years later still love them. Blackwater park gotta be the best album to me. Opeth so complex and abstract got grooves on grooves

The best ever written metal opera. I say it once again. Top notch reaction. Welcome to the rabbithole of this most stunning band. I think you might like: The Moor; Moonlapse Vertigo; The Lotus Eater; Hessian Peel; The Drapery Falls and a lot more. This band is a genre on its own. Subscribed.

Thanks for great reactions. I really envy you, having all that great Opeth music to discover. If you only enjoy heavy music you have some 50 ish epic songs to look forward to. If you enjoy all types of music then you can pick any song from them. I can honestly say that they do not have more than maybe a handful songs I skip over most of the time and I favoriter different albums and songs almost day by day. Welcome Dorothy!

Great reaction! Almost every Opeth song is an Opus and each one takes the listener on a massive journey. Also each album is different. On a side note, I highly recommend learning to The Roundhouse Tapes - its excellent, as are all their shows. Immense gratitude for the walk down Memory Lane. 💜🌎💜

Gooooood reaction! But pls do yourself a favour, get a pair on nice headsets :) And yes, they are "technical as shit" ;) Welcome to the journey of Opeth ;) This is not Tool! Stuck on them since 15 years and never getting tired of it.

Wonderful reaction, and personally I feel the studio is the superior listen. Real acoustic guitars and studio quality vocals and backing vocals. I fell down the Opeth rabbit hole 🕳️ about 4 years ago now and they have been scratching bands off my top 10 ever since.. 💀❤️

With Opeth, the studio versions are A LOT better, unless you opt for the old DVDs, like Lamentations. Mikael doesn't do the proper growls anymore. And while you are checking the old Opeth live dvd's, check out also Bloodbath Live "The Wacken Carnage".
