Aurora's live performance of this at the Nobel Peace Prize awards is mesmerizing

Aurora is a captivating live performer, this might as well be live because she sounds as good live as this. She is reliving her lyrics when she sings her songs, she is very expressive with her full body, she is music in physical form. Thanks for a great reaction.

Wow! What a powerful, haunting and mesmerising song. 🥺 Her voice is beyond pure isn’t it?! You did well to get through that one Chief! Hugs to you, we got you. 🫶🏻

Aurora knows how to make you feel. She’s definitely worth a dive down the rabbit hole. She doesn’t always make you cry though, but she does often make you think x

Well Chief, this one I did not expect!! But thank you. My nieces are very passionate about their alternative metal/music tastes (it's definitely a genetic trait in our family). It was the youngest (21yo next month) that eventually got me into Sleep Token and Bad Omens. But she loves Aurora as well and I just didn't get it. But her artists heart has connected strongly with Aurora and she will be seeing her in Sydney the night after her birthday. After hearing and seeing this tonight, I get it. It's almost like Nick Cave was in the room with her. It's stunning. Thank you so much for this legend!!

If you've got some free time, take a look to some of her live performances, as to me she takes what she composes and writes to a whole new level when performing live. In exemple, here are 3 live versions, quite different from each other (it will show you one of her traits as musical artist): AURORA - MURDER SONG (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmThIqKi9yLrtk Aurora - Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) - 5/25/2018 - Paste Studios - New York, NY: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYLckJmYp7SgpJI 20171102 - AURORA - Nidarosdomen - 11/12 Murder song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4mYooZ4aLtljpI Metalheads who love Aurora and her art are far from rare, I'm one of them myself, but personally I have a clear preference for her live performances more than her albums, a question of personal taste, I guess.
@TheJenoireКүн бұрын
@Josian-ps7fb thank you so much for that! It's weird that I thought of Nick Cave, who had an album called Murder Ballads, and you're directing me to Aurora's Murder Songs! I'll definitely check out her lives 🙂

First my brother..a big hug to you and thank you for your vulnerability (I'll say it a million times again I'm sure). I was hesitant on this one, with the title of the song and your thumbnail, I knew it would be a tough one to get through. The countdown and then the two lines "He holds the gun against my head, I close my eyes and bang I am dead" are just crushing.

She was around 19 in this video, even though many thinks she looks younger, me included. The video is from Aug 2015, and she turned 19 in June 2015, she is 28 now.

Yea she is able to make you feel (and think about some things or meaning). Her music is an Art (or she is true Artist in my opinion) and it has something more then just a song. Cool reaction!

you are lucky, the nobel peace prize live version is way more immersive. or maybe unlucky, who knows. thanks for reacting. btw: can you believe, that the 'official' studio release is a real bop?
@situ_sohum2 күн бұрын
Bet you got a lot of stuff to get too. But consider watching the live of this. At the nobel piece price concert. I feel like her live stage presence in combination with this piece blows all studio stuff out of the water. Another banger in that regard is the Life on Mars - Bowie Cover by hers. Highly recommended and even more range.

this one gets me every time. I wonder if she is realy ill and death is better than going through the desease. Or is he mentaly ill and kills her without her consent? If you REALY want to cry with AURORA listen to "why did you have to go a place I couldnt follow" if you are ready for it. She wrote the song for a friend of hers, who was killed in a caraccidant. And played it on the funeral. Thanks for the huggs, likewise in return.

You have heard some of the oldest songs in her catalog, so I'd like to recommend a new song by Aurora, that touches on something you said. The song is called "Some Type of Skin", and it's much less sad than this one.

Oof! That is such a gorgeous but so deep and emotional song. I noticed that another commentor mentioned Nick Cave. I have a suggestion for you that's along the lines of this Aurora track, but it's Nick Cave (who I'm a big fan of) and Kylie Minogue. The song is called "Where The Wild Roses Grow". The album it's on is called "Murder Ballads" which was released in February 1996, so it's another one that isn't new. And then I have a second serving suggestion (intention wording there) for a track called "The Annihilation Sequence" by Jordan Reyne. The album it's on has the same title. This is more of an angry song but is still a bit emotive. The drums on it though are brilliant and very tribal, so I think you might like it if just for that. And here's a hug for you as well 🤗

Not a typical Aurora performance but, then again, there is no such thing. Sees the world differently and that shows in her performance as well as the lyrics. Best live, try her Nidarosdomen Concert, especially "Through the eyes of a Child". Brink a hankie.

For me the count down is everything, as she (the caractere) know and agree to what is coming. Some legend sais that she wrote this one after reading an article about a man endind his ill wife, to save her from terrible suffering. I kind of like that explaination. Big Hug your way ❤🩹. Aurora is a soul healer for so many, she never make us cry for nothing, it's always good for your soul ;-)

So much '80s programming to undo to see this for the art it is. Decades older, have seen the truth and STILL, my brain's first reaction is: Where do weak women come from. Not, what kind of absolute subhuman horrorshow thinks it has the right to decide life or death for anyone else. Arrogance only a murderer could wield.
