You made it through the song by Ren. When I first heard “Suicide”, I was so devastated because in my lifetime, I had loved ones who committed the horrible acts. Ren brings out those raw feelings. If I could, I would give you a hug, as well as Ren. I need the hug back. 11 years ago, on April 26th 2013, my boyfriend un- alived himself, it was hard to breathe for over a year. His first 2 attempts I got him to hospital in time. The final attempt he made sure I couldn't intervene. Like Ren, he was diagnosed with ME, like Ren he got to a point where everything apart from boiled rice and poached or grilled chicken was all he could eat for months. I too have had those dark voices, but I couldn't do it to my kids as I had seen the results in friends whose parents took that way out. Like Ren, ive never been angry with him, I just miss him. Our local mental health teams aren't fit for purpose, he phoned them in crisis, they offered him an appointment on the 6th of May, he was gone the next day 😢. You're right, it still hurts, but we learn to live with the hurt. How you reacted to this song, is exactly how I reacted to (the song whose name we can't mention) . I too have had a hidden illness, ehlos danlos hyper mobile type, since 2013, I've also been diagnosed with psoratic arthritis (autoimmune) and fibromyalgia, plus lower back advanced degeneration and lordosis. Every day is painful, not 1 single day since mid twenties have I been totally pain free. If it isn't obvious, I think that's why Rens music reaches me on a deeper level. And it's thanks to you guy's, the KZbin reactors that I first came across hi Ren. I now watch every reaction that the algorithm (adopts shifty posture and whispers *it's always listening ) sends my way. It's brilliant that the music he writes touches so many people on more than one level. Ren is the storyteller of our time #bardcore . As you have said just now, please people don't give up, reach out and talk to people, suffering in silence and solitude isn't the way. If I gave up when I was at my worst, I would have missed out on 8 grandchildren (who bring more pure joy than my kids) and now 2 great grandchildren. I've also reconnected with some good friends from school, as I'm nearly 59, we started meeting up in our 40's, I would have missed that too. And my beloved pets, I have 2 now, but have lost 3 in the last 20 years. Anyhoo there are things worth staying around for, we just need empathy and compassion and try to be there for the people that need it.

I'm sure my medical issues are the reason I feel so engaged with Ren. Seven Sins is my current favorite song. Listen to it if you haven't already. Ren speaks my heart in much of that song. No worries, no need for sorrys or regrets, we all go and have gone through the loss of friends n family that have left us. I stand here with you. Of my graduation class of high school only 1/3 are still living. I've lost both my parents and all but one of my fathers side of the family. I have found out that they all still live through me because of their importance in my life. Ren's music helps us deal with the pain and trauma we all carry around, and I'm sure most of us feel more connected to those reactors who let us see more of that in themselves. I know that's one of the main reasons I have come to love your channel so much! My condolences to the loss of your friend, but you're right about the darkness not lasting forever. I lost my brother to a drug overdose over seventeen years ago, and his name was even Joe as well.
