Barrington Levy is who you're thinking of. There's a big reggae community in the UK we have a lot of West Indians Jamaicans etc and they paved the way for the Two Tone scene. No his mum was definitely not a drug addict :)

Hey Guys, please dont explain yourselves to the tinterweb! those that dont understand do not deserve an explanation. I like to hear the "i love this song" as much as hearing the "I dont like this so much" There are tracks of Rens that are my least favourite and choose not to listen to them often. But some i find bangers and cant get enough. Keep up the good reacts, and dont worry about the haters / negatives. Love the channel and what you give us!

According to Luke, they tried for two days to get a true single-shot with the trickier parts of the filming smooth enough to satisfy everyone. In the end they bowed to filming constraints and chose to make two edits, one when the camera goes into the back seat of the car, and a second when it comes out.

It's why I sub to your channel and watch. You keep it real. I listen to many genres of music. I have favorite bands and played guitar in a band for 12 years. Like you said- there are songs I've played on and recorded I will never listen to again. There's not an artist from Classical to Death Metal on my phone that I like every song. I may respect the creativity or moving outside the artist's usual paradigm or never knowing what it each song may sound like. Doesn't mean it always hits and has replay value. This is a good song. Cool hook. I'm sure it's said below, but the acoustic version of this song he does start with song you were referencing. That version has a different vibe which is why I follow Ren and other outside-the-box artists. You never know what you're going to get until you press play.

I've been a RENagade for two years, before he popped off because of my own Lymes disease. It's a genuine movement I get behind. But I'm also an even genre of music addict. This is where I argue myself with people in the movement. I made an entire graph on who to promote what songs to which channels. Unfortunately, people are too aggressive and promote what's in the movement. Take Troubles, his newest. Troubles, is for people like me, it's a dope rap to me, but it's not for y'all. Ya it's for everyone but I'm not going to recommend it to y'all because first of all, just because I'm a RENagade, does not mean I won't promote other artists who deserve love as well. The biggest irritation I get is people who promote Hi Ren and other songs that aren't relatable. They're moving and important and had a giant impact on my life, but all people do by giving a first impression of him with that, I promise it hurts Ren's growth more than it helps. I became a huge fan by listening to Losing It because it's replay value then I dove into the lyricism and then found the heavy stuff on my own. Any ways. This is a great video. I have so many disagreements with your thoughts, but I watch because y'all are entertaining and non bias. I don't hate watch y'all. At the end of the day, Ren is my all time favorite artist, but anyone who also is, including Ren, without speaking for him, he, we, and I all understand and you're opinion is appreciated. To all my fellow RENagades... Please, everything is okay. These guys are real dudes. The same way I don't like say country music, I stand by opinion and these two men in their option. All love, all the way. They can say whatever they want, one way or another, I still want them to win. ... Sorry i spammed this. But I'm a real deal lyme disease riddled RENagade and I want you to know, y'all two are iLL too, never apologize for being too real to those who can't deal
@BriMakesComments8 ай бұрын
Thats probably the way Ren himself would say it. Much love and hope you are doing well. Ill watch these dudes again in much the same way RENegades digest all opinons in general and look for a click moment where realisation of artistry kicks into full flow. Seen so many USA rap reactors turn round over time and these guys know they onto a good thing here.
@andrewshedron4258 ай бұрын
I think you have a distorted view of music and the artists that create it. Art is subjective. What you get out of a song may be, and usually is, something completely different than what someone else hears. "Hi Ren" is what got people's attention, mine included, and the majority don't have lime disease but can totally relate to every part of the song and the message. Hell, you would never know it had anything to do with lime disease if you didn't know his background. Everyone needs to stop telling people what they should/shouldn't like or do. And start accepting the fact that we all like different things, view things differently, and react to the same things differently. People have become so entitled and somehow started to believe that what they say or think means something. It's called an opinion and like an asshole, everybody has one. But nowadays so many get "triggered" by them. My opinion, just let people do what they want. If they care what you think, they will ask for your thoughts. I'm sure I will get plenty of people's thoughts from this but one thing is for sure, while it consumed them with rage or whatever I won't even be thinking about it or looking at their responses. 😂
@Vffhndsercchi8 ай бұрын
@@andrewshedron425 I don't think you realized that you're saying exactly what I just said. The only difference is, "Hi Ren" being suggested first. I've never disliked a song by Ren in two years. But are saying analytic marketing isn't a thing? Some people search for up-tempo music. Some people get completely turned off, including the reactors as well by an emotionally powerful song. Not everyone feels a turbulent response, or often more likely some people can't handle facing them off the bat. But when it comes to reaction channels themselves and what to promote first is based on the gravitational demographic pattern of what the channel's core long time audience requests most. Some go for the Up-Tempo. Compared to say that you could look at the therapist channels, obviously Hi Ren and is the automatic go to. Ren makes every genre, practically. Different strokes for different folks. So hopefully this clarifies my point. By no means am I saying, never market his heavy emotional music, it's just before requesting, read the room. I don't go out of my way to request because I want a reaction, I request because I want Ren to get ten million more subscribers... I understand pattern recognition isn't as natural for many, that's okay. Nothing wrong with it, it's the individuals prerogative for their own time being used to request, obviously many people request because they are offering time and attention. I wish I could show you my spider web graph of my exact meaning of my own pattern analytic data I have for every single Ren song. Every. Single. One. To put it simply, Ren genuinely inspires, brought me hope, and stopped my mom from burying her son, and got me writing music again. The right vibrations can be acclaimed meaningful every single day for two years. He changed my life, as corny as that is, at 31, for the first time, I was given a goal to myself. I'm going to advocate for M.E. awareness like him, because without him, I wouldn't have ever known the past I should take to recovery. It's an interesting story, that I hope I can share one day in long form. But that is the reason I've done this work. I can't take more from Ren, he's given me something no one else has ever done, and I will loyally go the extra kilometers to help him grow. Reference, the Love Music Part 1. Worshipping the new Messiah isn't something I take lightly ! Kidding, but hey, I mean he could do some biblical sized good in this world vibrationally as long as we pay attention to promotional execution. Anyways , this is already too long. Simply, I don't disagree with you at all, I just hope this is better clarity for what I mean by it Hurts more than helps. I just meant to Read the room when it comes to possible new fan exposure. I can nerd out in depth over this, like reliving my youth and opening a pack of Pokemon cards, bliss. Still yes it's my opinions... But it's all based on math and a system that when I show to other Renegades, the spider marketing graph so far hasn't had any objections. Because recommending Hi Ren to an EDM reaction channel would be silly. But Losing It would make sense.
