Brother the ref made a mistake and no whistle was blown until KC got the ball. Hence why the Refs got together and changed it to an illegal shift which is the right call there. People keep crying about this like would you rather them make the wrong call there?

I remember the early days of 'replay'. There was a degree of unfairness. If a 'fumble' called on the field was overturned to no fumble, it was corrected. BUT if a 'non-fumble' was called, but needed to be reversed, nothing could be done (since the play was blown dead before the recovery). The NFL changed that to a 'let it play out' policy. So even if the refs believed the player was down before the fumble. In doing this, the call could be reversed and the refs known who recovered it after all. In this play with the ref calling 'false start', the whistle never blew until after the Chiefs recovered the bad snap. Clearly, the refs, talking it out among themshelves, rule a 'illegal shift' happened because the ball was snapped before the player in motion had time to set. The refs allowed to this to play out, so they could make the right call. That's right, the RIGHT CALL!!

the false start was signaled meaning the ref either blew his whistle first (whether it was heard on the broadcast or not) or he screwed up.

Had the clock been running at the snap, then by rule an illegal shift would convert to a false start. Since the clock was stopped (spike on the 2nd down play), an illegal shift is a live ball foul. If the ref made the mistake and blew the whistle you would still want them to proceed and make the wrong call? So you want to purposely make a bad call? When it’s for the chiefs it rigged and now you want it to be against the chiefs and would be perfect fine with it being rigged? I don’t get you people 😂 at the end it was the right call move on

It has been 3 seasons if the NFL and the refs helping the Chiefs win games they shouldn't . How much longer are fans going to put up with this? Boycott Chiefs games till it stops
