Exactly. Darren is not a trained opera singer that has spent decades perfecting his craft. He's a pop singer, with a great voice, and is hugely under-rated. He was about 28 years old and couldn't even speak the language he was singing in. I think he did a great job.

Wow, I was never expecting that voice to come out of Darren. It was fantastic! He has amazing range, and I think it's unfair to compare him to someone who sings this type of music all the time. They're both amazing in what they do.

agreed - to my knowledge ,Darren has formal training but he's not an opera singer or fluent in Italian, and he sang a bloody duet with the world's most famous opera singer in said singer's native tongue...that's ballsy for sure !!

Before I saw the video I thought Darren was going to completely ruin it. I never thought their voices would work together but now that I've actually seen it, I thought Darren was FANTASTIC!!! He was REALLY REALLY GREAT!!! I absolutely loved the whole thing. Their voices were great together. everything was just PERFECT!! (Pavarotti being magnificant isn't exactly a surprise) anyway, both of them were GREAT!!! I loved it.

Those children sound like angels and they are so beautiful. I bet Darren was scared to sing with Pavarotti. He looks so concentrated, and I've never seen him use his arms like that. But Pavarotti...I almost never do it (and certainly haven't done for a very long time now), but I suddenly realized that I closed my eyes and was smiling while listening to him! He looks like the kindest person there ever was.

I think that both of them sang beautifully and with their own unique style... Darren Hayes looks freaking gorgeous!
