GM Alicia! I absolutely LUV Fluffy Fude and her knowledge has been a great resource for me. Her reviews are not only in-depth, but she’s never failed to answer any fude questions I’ve had even when it’s not related to the video. And this comparison video addressed an issue I’ve been having. I’ve been trying to use my Z-series brushes with hard pressed powders and just can’t seem to pickup enough product. I will give the Kazan a closer look...........next year😉
@aliciaarcher
@aliciaarcher 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I found that the softer squirrel hair won’t pick up as well as a goat hair. The Takumi series might be a better batch for harder pressed powders.
@sheilaking

@@aliciaarcher I grabbed the Chantecaille Hummingbird Translucent for under eye setting. Tried Z brushes & WG Artisan for their softness, but too soft. Since I don’t have any Takumi brushes, would you say the T-6 is too small to use for under eye setting ?
@aliciaarcher
@aliciaarcher 3 жыл бұрын
It’s not too small, as it will apply powder well on the very inner corner, and right under the lash line. Especially if you’re one to not apply a lot of powder. It’s not going to hit the greater eye area at once like maybe the T-5.

I never thought I actually cared about eyebrow brushes and that, for example, my Patrick Ta spoolie and brush was sort of all I needed (it's very firm and also metallic pink and replaced the eyeliner brush I formerly used), and then I got a Chikuhodo weasel brow brush. Whoah. It is not soft. No. But tap it into any brown shadow once the brow soap or gel dries and wowza. Really elegant brows. I have decently full brows (thank you brow treatment) but they are SUPER light. I'm not going on a brow brush/kit spree, like two are enough, but I was super impressed. Also Z-1 plus Gucci powder, as long as my under eyes are set and my face isn't tacky, amazing. No hard pan, it's like I have a new powder. I am not ruling out the Kazan series for 2021. But I am close to completing the Z and T series. But I'm literally always considering new brushes and rotating through them and trying new things (like setting my face with a crease brush, apparently that's a thing now for cream products days, or using concealer or highlighter brushes to set my undereyes). So I love these videos because even if I don't immediately buy things, it gives me some inspo for brush use and future orders.

Great review! ❤️Now the question is... which should I go for?! 🤣 They are all so beautiful! I am thinking of KZ4 and FO4... two very different shape but I love pom pom shape (Z1) and is interested in the smaller, slanted angle brush (FO4) that I haven't tried before. Also interested in that KZ6 that you mentioned since I have smaller eyelid space to play around with but one and done + easy blend is my cup of tea!! Decisions, decisions! @@pinkbobohead9190 hi there, I didn’t see this notification, I just happen to be watching this review again. To respond your question, I honestly think when choosing brushes, it’s down to personal preference. I have combination skin so I enjoy goat, goat/squirrel blend, or fox bristles based on my skin type then squirrel bristles alone. Squirrel hair alone I find has more maintenance involved due to the fragility of the hair. Lastly I typically steer away from brush sets, but tend to get brushes individually if the sets offer them.

Honestly, I can’t wait for this world to end. Have you seen how animals are treated in China just to harvest their hair for brushes? If you all have a heart, you will not support products that come from cruelty. These poor animals suffer so human can experience softness while painting their faces. There are good synthetic brushes out there that a just as soft and good. Even cheap brushes from Walmart are soft. SMH
@ashleywillard3033
@ashleywillard3033 3 жыл бұрын
@@solarlola5953 China is also harvesting live humans, in their prisons and concentration camps, for their organs. The US still have people, especially children, locked up in ICE and prisons in America are just a big corporation based on racist and classis principles. You're going to have a hard time compelling people to have a heart for something a lot of people consider pest, squirrels are the cause of a lot of people's death every year, while humans are still treated just as bad and worse in some cases. Let people enjoy what they enjoy if it's not causing a detrimental outcome to the environment or to others. The natural hair will decompose as well as the wooden handles. Those cheaper synthetics are going to last forever since it's all mostly plastic.

Alicia, my love, please don't take that as an offence, but I kinda feel bothered by you pronouncing the Japanese names with the heavy English accent. Since you're a huge fan of Japanese makeup brushes brands, I think it'd be more respectful to the brand and the culture if you look up to pronounce the names a little more correct to the Japanese pronunciation. In fact is pretty easy. I say that because I have a lot of proximity to Japanese culture and it feels a little disrespectful when the names are pronounced the american way. Anyway, great review as always! Love u!
@aliciaarcher
@aliciaarcher 3 жыл бұрын
I thought I was pronouncing all the vowels correctly, and it’s not my intention to come off as disrespectful. The reality is, I can’t mimic a Japanese accent because I don’t speak the language. For instance, I’m not fluent in Spanish, but I can better pronounce the words because I know the language a lot better than Japanese. I could have done better with the “r” in Ho mare, but it’s still very tricky. I listened to a sound byte, and see where I need to place accent. I found that anytime you provide critique, it’s helpful to provide resources for the individual you wish to see improvement from. Otherwise, I’m more that happy to search for Japanese language video tutorials.

@@aliciaarcher I totally understand. In fact English is not my native language as well, I can't mimic the native pronunciation, but I do my best just like you. About the the source you can rely on to have a better reference to pronounce Japanese words, I recommend the trusty Google Translate, their pronunciation voice is pretty accurate to how Japanese is pronounced. But if it helps, Japanese has a more "full moth" and compassed type of pronunciation, it doesn't have the tricky sounds that English has with all the vowels and consonants that sound like waves. When you pronounce some Japanese words, the consonants are what more stands because of your English accent, for example, when you pronounce the "do" from "chikuhodo", your "do" has an "u" on the pronunciation and in Japanese it doesn't exist unless if there's an actual "u" in that word. There are much less variants in vowels and consonants pronunciation sounds to Japanese than English. All Japanese vowels sounds are opened and short and we normally have just one sound for each vowel, and the consonants are sharp and short. You'll find yourself making some "kiss mouth" when you're pronouncing some Japanese words because the language structure, because of the culture, is more... let's say "closed" (even tho I said the vowels are opened).
