My great-grandfather fought in the war from Stalingrad to Berlin. Didn't talk much abt the war but when he did he would always mention how tired his battalion and all the other veteran batallions were so exhausted to do anything after the Germans surrendered and how the ones looting were mostly those who had barely fought or had massive animosity (mostly who lost their families, children due to Germans occupation etc)

what a load of BS from this movie with the guy vasily not firing his weapon. The troops that stormed the Reichstag were from the 150th rifle division of the 3rd shock army, these were battle hardened experienced troops, you wouldn't see a coward like that in such a battle. Maybe a new recruit, but not in in the 3rd shock army

Blah b Russian army since 1942 began to be more and more experienced and efficient. The Russian military losses are so high because of the millions of Soviet soldier made prisoner during barbarossa, and who were treated like animals and send to labour camps where almost all died. But I don't want to argue with you, you're a part of the dark side of humanity. It's useless to debate with against such a crazy and ignorant fool
