On June 2, 2022, a man traveled for two and a half hours, anticipating a meeting with a 15-year-old girl in Cumberland, WI. As he reached the agreed location, several Cumberland Police officers and DCI agents caught him by surprise and quickly apprehended him. Later investigations unveiled that the man worked as a surgical technician, was married, and had two children.

@@timthompson8297 No, it's _far_ worse than all three. I've worked with severely disabled children. Bedbound ones who can barely move and who can't speak, but who are fully conscious and aware. If a person everyone else trusts were abusing them, someone _paid_ to be around them and care for them and be their protector, they would know what was happening but could do absolutely nothing to save themselves. That would be an entirely new level of helplessness. It's terrifying to think of the children we worked with being hurt by grown adults, and that would be one of the few times I would wish pain and violence onto anyone.

He’s just a surgical tech (you can have your license in 11 months, just showing the difference in being an actual surgeon which takes app. 13 years), so he wouldn’t have been sedating anybody in that hospital, an anesthesiologist would do that & he wouldn’t have been alone with patients either bc the anesthesiologist & nurses doesn’t leave until the patient does. Thank God! That’s how it works in the hospital I work for. And he absolutely will lose his license, which I’m also thankful for. You can’t have a felony & hold a medical license of any kind, nor work in a hospital period.

It's because of the nature of the Sting operation, he was only charged with 2nd degree attempted SA of a child. That's just the way it is and I'm surprised they were able to charge him with even that given how little evidence there can be for these cases and how a lot of states would throw this out under the claim of entrapment. They don’t, typically when an another inmate finds out it’s game over. My dad was a CO and the story’s he told me were chilling. Just think of what a hunter does when he downs a buck.

Wearing surgical gear is the most terrifying part. He was suppose to be helping people in their most critical points (unconscious for surgery) and here he is attempting to hurt someone completely innocent (I know it was fake but he didn’t know that). I was a kid when yahoo chat rooms were a thing. I was groomed by an adult when I was 15. I’m austitic and also was abused at home so, I did not know the red flags or boundaries. I actually met up with him in public, but got scared and left. Things could have gone so much worse. Especially if I went with him somewhere. Glad I did not.

I was thinking the same thing. Hubby and I live in MN but we bought our retirement lake home in Cameron, WI. We literally drive right thru Cumberland every wkend when we go to the lake house. This isn't a big metropolis. The case being tried in Rice Lake (less than 10 mins down the road from us in Cameron) is def not a metropolis either. These are small towns. It's scary the reach these disgusting wastes of space have 🤬 And SO thankful for ALL of the Law Enforcement involved in taking this POS off the streets! 🖤💙🖤
