@@jmariew9966 Agreed 100%! I see people with kids smoking weed around them, playing filthy music, cursing around them, throwing trash out their window while on the road, no car seat for them, babies in the front seat and so on... I was raised by just my dad after my parents split at the age of ten. Dad was a coal miner who worked 12+ hours a day who after his shift came home, got cleaned up, went to sleep then repeat and one of my fondest memories with him was a time we went to a tobacco shop so he could get his cherry skoal, after we were back in his truck just getting settled in and in front of us was someone in their car who opened his door and proceeded to throw trash out, not just a paper wrapper or something, fast food cups, bags, cans etc... Dad said nothing while we watched what said person was doing he just got out of his truck, walked up and started throwing all that persons trash back in his car all over him while saying things i couldnt hear but knew was something along the lines that let that person know he was unworthy of breathing the same oxygen we did lol. Mom on the other hand was nothing like dad. She would send me to her plug about a half a mile down the road with cash to get what she told me was her "medicine" as early as 5 years old, beat me with fists when I was around maybe 7ish cause I poured out a 6 pack of beer, watched her bring in men while dad was at work as well as having to listen to them having sex from the next room. I could go on forever with that woman but wont.... Like you said, count yourself lucky and don't hold any grudges or let your parents choosing their needs over you hurt you cause if you had lived with them instead of your aunt your life most likely would have been full of toxicity and destructive influences.

I had physical custody of my daughter for two years because the mom sent her to me. I immediately submitted for a modification and they ignored it for two whole years. Still charged me and garnished my wages even though my daughter was living with me exclusively and they knew it. I was at risk of being sent to jail, having my DL revoked and a number of other legal issues all because my ex didn’t think it through and got us into the legal system. Fast forward to today I now have 100% legal and physical custody because my ex got caught up in some legal stuff with CPS and had all her parental rights taken away and other children placed in foster care. I say all this to remind everyone it’s not always up to you. The states are incentivized to put men on CS orders and collect on the interest whether you’re a good father or not

You missed when the mother came to court. She had asked her sister if she would like her niece and nephew for the summer and never came back for them. When the mother came to court she said she had decided she didn’t want to be a mother anymore! She wanted to concentrate on her career. She was the most annoying woman ever, and resisted even paying, but the judge put a stop to that and ordered her to pay. This father’s smugness is also annoying. He comes to court dripping in jewels , works at a bank which basically is a 9 to 5. But he only picks up the child when he can, and doesn’t think he should regularly do that or contribute money? A woman who has no children took his child in, and he is calling her money hungry?

This dad is delusional AF. Why doesn't he have custody of his own son? If he was amazing he wouldn't be going through this. He would have full custody of HIS child. WTF 😒
@jessicaarmstrong50357 ай бұрын
I don't know. This feels like she baited him with this. Think about it. The scenario is plausible. The mom was the one who had the child initially when her and dad broke up. Dad was never asked for more than $20 or $30 here and there. At some point 9 months ago, the aunt was asked to take the child because mom doesn't want her kids anymore. So she agrees knowing that child support would be paid by both mom and dad. She doesn't ask him for anything for 9 months because she makes more than enough to pay for the kids (she doesn't look poor at all) and thus at the end of 9 months not only does she start receiving somewhere around $1500-$2000/month between the 2 parents but she also gets a bunch of backpay that she can use on whatever she wants. You don't seriously think a child uses $2000/month in electricity or bills do you? When the rent and all the major expenses were already covered by the aunt's income? This is extra income for her guaranteed. She sits there whining about her electricity bill and yet she looks like she's got a good-paying job. Granted they're not her kids but if she didn't care about them then she should've said no to taking care of them. Most likely the dad didn't take his son because he didn't have time and also because he didn't want to split him from his sibling.
@claddagh8nuts2 жыл бұрын
I hate how that guy thinks it's not necessary to pay and it's just for the Aunt. No. It's not even her child. But she's there for him every day financially, physically, emotionally. Teaches him, reads, cooks, bathes, tucks him in at night. So what he is paying is still a lot cheaper than what he would have to pay for a 24/7 childcare. He's lucky there's a loving family member taking care of HIS child.

I don't think that's the case. He probably was paying her money when she asked for it. It's not his fault that she never asked for the money. No one is psychic and he knew that she was getting money from the mom. He probably thought that was enough for the kid. This was frivolous and the only reason she got away with it is because the law allows for it. And no, for the ignoramuses out there, child support does NOT pay for the custodian's ENTIRE electric bill or rent or any of the other necessary things, but it DOES pay for the portion which the child or children use(s)!
@TatewakiGaming2 жыл бұрын
You are making very sweeping statements based upon a single scenario that didn’t provide enough background detail for any such determination to be made. You do not know what the money is being used for, or diverted to. The man skirted around his concerns but never vocalized them. If the payments being levied are in accordance to the laws of the jurisdiction, that’s all there is to it. Pay what you must, and hope that some small portion of it eventually makes its way to the child. But there are too many situations and too many cases where this simply isn’t true. The only point where you and I 100% agree is that the man should have custody of his son. But I can say exactly the same thing about the mother, as well. Again, not enough information was provided in the scenario to know the hows and the whys of it. Perhaps both were unsuitable. In any event, the episode was very interesting and thought provoking. Thank you, Judge Vonda B!

The good parents I know are going around saying things like, "Well, I try to be a good parent," or "I hope I made the right decision," that kind of thing. Good parents doubt their own parenting abilities all the time...the ones who don't give a rat's ass how the kid turns out are walking around, patting themselves on the back, and telling everyone who will listen how amazing they are, because they bought their kids a pair of shoes this year.

Exactly, and her point being missed or looked over constantly was so annoying. She’s not expecting him to pay her bills, she’s bringing up the fact that any additional person in a home means more of everything - more water, more electricity, more gas, etc., so he needs to pay for his child because the child has need besides just clothing and food that the aunt is providing

He calls her money hungry but she is taking care of a child that isn't hers, children are expensive. She should be compensated . The father also has another child on the way, imagine how that makes his son feel......

Why is the judge agreeing with him she was rude to the Aunt for setting up child support, and acting like she is money hungry. But was determined to make the mother pay as much as she could. I can't believe ti way she acted like this guy shouldn't even be here.

Yeah, and I love it how he says that she is money hungry but he is literally wearing gold around in wrist and neck! Bro, you just want to keep the lavish single life and shirk of your responsibility for your kids to someone else. Now it might be true that she is money hungry, but she has to pay for the kids health, care, education, and anything that the kids need/want, you can help a sister out for dealing with a kid that isn’t hers and putting her life and dreams on hold to make sure your kid does have one.

Between the two parents for the two different kids, the aunt is still only getting about $1600 a month, and depending on where this is taking place, that could be barely enough to house them. A 2 bedroom apartment in a bad neighborhood is easily $1800 where I am from

Had 3 cancers & died for 37 minutes but God said send that Italian/Native American/Creole chick back she talks too muck. I am 61 & married my husband at 19. Have had 30 surgeries 6 more in the next 4 months. Going to go back & watch all your old ones too . Got my cousins & BFF watching you too ! God Bless You Judge ! I don't understand how he is just so passive aggressive about it. You let your child live with someone else and think you don't have any accountability for the cost of raising them. Those parents are not only negligent but they are ignorant. So sad to here that there is another innocent, sweet baby coming into the world, hopefully he will treat that child with more respect.
