My kindergarten days were ruined by my "best friend" blackmailing me every day. He would always tell me that he wouldn't be my friend anymore and would tell all the other kids to not talk to me anymore or would accuse me of having done bad stuff in front of the adults if I wouldn't do what he wanted. Still makes me angry to this day that I didn't tell that little shit where he can shove his "friendship". I wasn't prepared for nonsense like that at age 4 to 5. It is funny how problems that seemed huge and insurmountable to us when we were younger suddenly seem puny and ridiculous a few years later. Even now, being in my mid 40s, I look back at stuff that bothered me when I was in my 30s and have to scoff.

@@charliebrown4799 Mostly job and relationship related stuff. I think the biggest change in the last 10 years has been that I care much less about what other people think of me or in general. That is a typical thing for old people, or at least old men, but it seems to have happened early for me. Probably because of my personal story. Don't want to bore you with too many details. The short version is that I was a "gifted" child, then a total fuck-up, drifter, loser in my youth and when I kind of turned stuff around in my late 30s and got a halfway decent job, I thought money and status symbols are important. I was tired of being a poor bum in my 20s and early 30s and when I had some money, I spent it on stuff I didn't really need, just to fit in with normal people. Really dumb stuff, like that I bought a "Flag Ship" phone just so I would feel like I am someone when buying accessories (like a screen protector) at the "high end expensive phones"-end of the shelf in the electronics store, hehehe. That is something I have overcome since my 30s and I have learned that I don't need expensive stuff and status symbols. I need very little to be content and I don't care enough about the opinions of others to feel a need to impress them. Of course, when I go somewhere wearing the expensive stuff I need to wear at work, I get treated differently than when I wear my slobby private clothes, but the difference is not big enough to entice me into becoming some sharp dresser type in my free time.
