@@tumimbasa1705 Money is a hard topic nowadays. See money as limits in the common system. You have to find your ways how to deal with what you got and what surrounds you. Those who own less money, have a different view on our system and observe all the toxic things for sure. Those who own money and even depend on people by that built social structures and -hopefully- feel their privilege e.g. a young adult depending on parent but same for artists that want to sell their works such as people working their ass off for a business man. Its all a matter of perspectives when it comes to money and yet the dependency is all the same somehow. Idk, just texting down my train of thought... what do you think?
@tumimbasa1705 Жыл бұрын
@@oOMaayOo It's not a "hard topic". Modern capitalism, allows for you to create something of value and sell it. It also allows you individual autonomy. The ability to make money in one area and reinvest it in another. The system works fine. But like any structure. It's created by people and it's never going to be perfect. But's say 75% works fine and 25% is deplorable corruption. Also felt like follow the fun is more a mindset. That's easier to do when Glover had a job as a writer on 30Rock and career on Community. You would say he's speaking from a point of privilege. Idc, it's factual follow your passion, but you cant do that if you dont have money or stability like Glover had

"How to find yourself" seems like there is a process in which you reach the end, you find yourself at last. There is no such thing. Life just happens, and being yourself is a journey not a destination, it's is at most something you can approach but never reach fully. And that is okay.

*HOW TO FIND YOURSELF* - according to Childish Gambino/Donald Glover 1. Everybody has to eat, but don't get comfortable. 2. Embrace your journey: Learn how to let go (it's all about the experience). 3. Being real will piss people off, but that's okay: Sometimes people delve into "negative" emotions and beliefs, but as long as they don't feel or believe that most of the time, it's okay. We're humans and we're allowed to experience the whole range of emotions. 4. Find stillness: When you find times and spaces where you don't feel the pressure of everything and everyone, you get closer to yourself. 5. Follow the fun: Whatever feels good and interesting, its something real, and you should always be real and authentic to who you are. 6. People only see what they want to see. 7. How people see you can be a strength. 8. Be you, be free. 9. Keep it real.

If doing what you love brings you any kind of livable income then very little else in life matters. If doing what you love does NOT bring you money then that, my friends, is where all the strife is coming from. Our system seems to like a few winners, some people in between, and LOT of people at the bottom. It's hard to be authentic when you are punished for it. It's easy when you are being rewarded. How to find yourself? Just be honest. But keep in mind...many of us don't like the truth because it's inconvenient for those of us who have already found financial success. Those of us who sold our souls to find financial success are not interested in any sort of enlightenment that requires a paradigm shift. People who sold out fucking HATE authentic people because they are jealous of their bravery and maybe their luck.

The conclusions that he has come to about life and his experiences and what he wants to do are the exact same as to what I've been feeling like for the past few months questioning my existence and only just now coming to terms with what point I am in my life and what I choose to do going forward as a being with consciousness in this world 🙃
