Identity is how you see yourself fit into society. It is something that can change with time and wisdom. The advent of social media and kids’ 24/7 access to the virtual world have made this journey difficult for children and Carl believes although technology is a great tool, it does create obstacles for young people who are trying to determine their true identities.
The ever expanding proliferation of technology is compromising children's ability to grow socially and the pressure to be perfect has increased because social media makes it seem like students must have the perfect life.
Carl Perino is a middle school Principal, former martial arts and wilderness survival instructor who has developed team-building, public speaking, and anti-bullying programs. He has worked as the Artistic Director for Improv Jam Comedy Labs, NJ's Premiere Improvisational Comedy Group.
He holds a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Michigan State University and a Master's in Biology from the University of Montana. He feels that his most important education came from summers driving cross country and backpacking across Europe, Central America and Southeast Asia.
