Yeah I remember that feeling way too well. It's funny how good the picture of 4th of january 2021 is in my head, woke up around 12:30 my time and the first thing I see on my phone is the notification of my local news app, "Alexi Laiho is dead". Before that I never knew that the death of a person that I have never even met could make me feel that crushed. I'll just keep playing his music and try to learn all of their songs on guitar. Just wish I could've just seen them live, even just once.

@@xjt9787 I know exactly what you're saying as in 'the death of someone that i never have met could make me feel that crushed'. I do play guitar, but not even close to like Alexi did. I missed my chance to see him in 2019 in Charlotte, NC but I was too lazy to drive the 2 hours which I will regret for the rest of my life. Weird right?? Well, that is how much his music meant to me. I also enjoy Kylahullet, SInergy, 100 guitars from hell.....and want to start listening to Unearthed for more Alexi. To have been SO good so young....he truly was an amazing musician.

@@smallfaucet 2 hour drive. Man that sucks. I also enjoy sinergy a lot. I am very close to being able to play I spit on your grave at full speed and I am kind of proud of myself for that. It is truly incredible how he wrote all that material between 97-00 while he was so young. I can't even imagine all the hours he must have put in to become that good, even tho he himself said it that he practiced a shit ton and sometimes didn't even go out with friends because he was playing guitar. Truly an incredibe musician, as a guitar player and especially as a song writer.

@@xjt9787 It's beyond my comprehension man, it really is.....I admire his style and composition so much. I agree about SInergy and his composing.....AND all during COB days too.....and hell, add Kyahullet in there too just blows my mind! I think I saw in an interview once how Sinergy was playing a show with COB and he basically played double duty that night! Add touring the world for 20 plus years and holy shit he was such a machine! And BAM was awesome too.....I am glad I got those 2 T shirts they were selling back in 2020. Hey, thanx for typing with me about Alexi \m/

Alexi's death is actually horrible lose for the metal community.But I think the last few years of bodom albums are not great they are just being same and same again all over.

I'd say the last record, Hexed, had a lot of old Bodom Feeling to it, compared to the couple of records before and was definitely a stand out in their 2010s output.
