Now, I came back to say, I adore this game so very much. The artstyle and the story are as much breathtaking as the music. I play this with my wife and it's the kind of game that can bring two people even closer when experienced together. This is my indie of the year and worth every penny. I will buy the Signature Ed. just to support the dev team. Buy this game, if possible play it with a dear friend or significant other. Thanks again for this review Juan.

I played the demo on pc and instantly fell in love with this game. I'm not a big fan of pixel art games but this, this is the exception. The progression even after death feels satisfying. The level maps are randomly generated so repeating a level never feels dull. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy! Thanks for the review, more people need to know about children of morta!

My wife and I truly enjoyed Children of Morta. Its couch co-op mechanics were elegantly designed. The differentiation of roles and characters elevated the co-op experience. The story was engaging. The length was appropriate. The art design matched well with its theme, while the randomly generated stages kept it fresh. A must buy for couch co-op or 2-stick fans even in 2021.

I held off getting Sparklite last week to see how this one went. So glad I did. The narration reminds me of Darkest Dungeon. Great review, Juan. Hopefully they'll sort the bugs out. Signature Edition here I come!

Mike Barnes I have really enjoyed my time with this game. It is fun and the challenge is fair. It pushes you to try each character as well at the risk of fatigue and lowering stats until the are healed or rested.

I been playing this game and i absolutely love it. I can definitely see why he rated it a 9/10. Bought it the day it dropped, but didn't really touched it until today.....and I haven't put it down since. With games like death stranding and trails of cold steel 3 that I'm playing at the moment I'm surprised I haven't booted them up this whole day. I will say, I experienced that audio bug he mentioned and it's god awful. First there was a delay in the sound and it gradually got worse to the point it damn near white noise. Happened only the one time, yet it didn't stop me from booting it right back up. Songs of praise need to be played for this awesome game.

I've been waiting for this game ever since I saw the first videos of gameplay. Upon hearing the fact that the storyline was incredible, I put it st the top of my "to buy" list. There is a new patch which has added a load of stuff buddy. Game will take you a while to complete as its challenging and there is always another run you can do but as soon as i complete the story i kind of lose interest but that does not mean its not replayable as there is lots of characters to play and to level up.

THANK YOU!! It IS a hack and slash RPG. Everybody else is calling it an "Action-RPG". Baldur's Gate and the like are Action-RPGs! Well done! Yesterday there was a free update with NG+, 50 new family and family quest cutscenes, more quests and more lore! I am assuming this update will come to Switch, as I am playing a PC version.

Depends on the review. I don't look at other reviews but I just did now to see and there are some 9s even 10s and then some 7s nd 8s. However I always think the player base tells the story and the average seems to be around an 8.6 on other platforms. I think this plays great in handheld and is just a great game but that's just my opinion.

it has nothing in common with diablo 2. And since d2r is on switch, nobody needs morta. It looks like a poor man's version of d3 actually, and while it's impressive, why bother buying it. It's $6 now. diablo is not roguelike, only hc mode is, and what you're describing is called rogue lite. Totally different.
