Really loving this alt-tree of Chile, especially the Native and French monarchy.

Chile has that Pickelhaube troop icon as I believe they are pulling reference to the fact that in the late 1800's Chile hired Prussia to train and organize its military so Prussian uniforms and traditions exist within the Chilean military even to this day.

I appreciate that the devs have realized the player base doesn't care as much about historical accuracy, but love the absurd and ridiculous but maybe sorta vaguely plausible focus trees. But they keep the historical ones and do them pretty well. The game when set to historical plays much more closely to just that than it did when I started playing in 2019, as long as the player doesnt cause chaos. But the alt history paths are usually by far the most fun. Causing chaos as the player is what makes this game fun. At least for me. A historical game once in a while is fun though. This Chilean French monarchist ridiculous stuff is what I'm here for. But honestly it all looks pretty good. Im much more excited for this pack than the Nordic one. Though that wasnt bad.

It´s not ridiculous, i know it sounds but has historical context, look up for Orelie Antoine de Tounens and the history behind Fuerte Bulnes in the Magallanes strait

Guess that's why i found it so enjoyable. You're clearly having fun with the alt-paths and also doing a solid job for the historical and communist paths. Your friend Kosaki MacTavish from the forums.

Would have liked to see more of a focus on the Idea of "The Prussia/Germany of South America" idea as chile and germany have been close since the 1800s, maybe a monarchy prussia path or something that would have been more interesting.

Just discovered your channel! I read the dev diaries myself but i always look for you tubers going over it. Sadly many the otherwise good Bitt3rsteel focuses more on the pictures rather than reading the DDs and thus missong or misreading a lot of details. Im happy to find spmeone who is more thorough and also very relaxing!

No Peruvian focus tree, Mr. Oscar Benavides will not be proud. I hope they add Peru eventually since they had a war in 1941 and were actually the first south american nation to use paratroppers in a war (and first time paratroopers were used in the Americas). Also had some german/czech lend lease since they used the pz38t's.

As a Chilean, I appreciate the love they gave us 🥲❤️. The only thing I would add is Pablo Neruda and Salvador Allende, he ran for president in 1952, so it would still be possible. Edit: I would also change the name of the union of the hispanic people to "Patria grande" and so on. Hope this happens when colombia gets a focus.
@celdur46358 ай бұрын
Patria Grande is the communist term for that. And it has nothing to do with Hispanism. Socialists hate hispanism.

This feels like a bit of a meme more than any others. A Frenchie pretender running the world order, natives rising up to kill the colonials and restore the native empires, and a fascist path with some memeworthy cores.
@braxat528 ай бұрын
Chile's story in early 1900 WAS a meme, since all those things actually happened to a certain degree. It's pretty much a "what if this weird thing moved forward instead of being crushed".

To correct something, Chile was not unestable during the XIX century, actually was the most estable country of the continent with the US, from 1831 to 1891 we got uninterrupted democratic governments with a few little civil wars that were not even close to overthrow the regime (the biggest was the 1859 one that changed the hegemony from conservatives to liberals)

Playing as Chile, I would like to start a war with Argentina. However, I’m not sure how to do that on the historical focus tree path. I think you said in this video that you could, but I’m not sure how to do it. It looks like there’s a way to do it in the fascist path, could you please help me out with how to start a war with Argentina it would be a great help if you could do it in a video if possible are you planning on doing a play through with this expansion?

i hope the mapucha path lets the nations you liberate get your tech or at least some of it. the most annoying part about South Africa is that your puppets are pretty useless except for stealing their manpower, would be so much cooler if they actually would be able to do something by themselves and proactively help you liberating the rest of the continent making you stronger and stronger the more you liberate.. would also be cool if there were a mechanic to enforce peace with who ever you fight when you have pretty much liberated all of South America and in South Africa's case Africa as i doubt the major powers would try to focus on a lost cause in Africa or South America when there are a major war between the axis and allies going on in the mainland europe, both you would go for peace so they could start trading for ressources with the newly formed independent states, it's kinda boring that most games turn into world conquest's

Stupid developers... the mapuche tree is real bad meme. It would more realistic to bring the kaiser becasue chile helped germany in wwi giving provisions to the sms dresde and the germans fought in chilean waters with their ships vs the english dreadnoughts. Chile had a lot of german inmigrants so... its more realistic. Mapuiche path... what a shame. Dude, the mapuche was a minority, without any kind of knowledge of modern war(even in the 60s they tought the highways with the reflectants were ufo airfields, so they destroyed them). Not to mention that Chile had the industry in the central regions and in the north.... oh and even on wikipedia the french anotine pseudo king.... WASNT RECOGNICED BY THE MAPUCHES AND NOT SUPPORTED BY THE FRENCH GOVERMENT.
