I loved your story about the pugle sticks. I learnt from you what the reasoning behind fighting with them is. It never occurred to me that it was a "safer" way to practice fighting with your gun. I always used to wonder if it was just a fun way of working off steam without really hurting each other. The cold weather mres look to be pretty amazing, everything in there looked very tasty. And may I thank you for all the wonderful things the US exports, especially M&Ms! Great video as always :)

Glad it was helpful! It was certainly exhausting, especially when you consider that we fought in the sand. I have seen videos of pugil stick matches that are on the grass or in a 'ring' with tread-like flooring. TFW, as always, Christine!

There's a rusted out bridge where I grew up, and we cut the ends off of pool noodles and zip tied them to the end of sticks, one friend would get one one side of an i-beam and one on another, and sprint towards the middle to joust each other off the bridge into the river below. The chance of fatal error was so high but man, being a dumb kid was the greatest.

@@MeAncientlol I have never been a fan of the taste of tobacco sauce… Haven’t tried it recently, but no need to as it doesn’t matter. Spicy stuff is more for those who enjoy it… Acquired taste. But is good for making one feel full faster- or so I have been told. I can say one thing though; I think I’d sooner eat a meal with tobacco sauce before I’d eat a raw potato- like I watched my father do once, used some salt on it BUT still, I KNOW the taste of raw potato 🤢 I am not sure tobacco sauce could ever taste worse to me lol 😅

Hey guys! Another great looking MRE video. That chili mac, looked like homemade. I chuckled as the "stealth" mystery hand appeared out of nowhere, while Me Ancient was finishing off the Irish crème drink, that very quickly grabbed a peanut M&M, while no one was looking! LOL! Once again, I'm glad to see a quality meal for our troops. You mentioned that you're from Iowa, I didn't know that. I lived in West Liberty Iowa and also Clearlake Iowa, for several years. Lots of snow in Clearlake!! Even got the new CJ7 stuck in the driveway once! Lifted the entire Jeep up off the ground, on the skid plate on the snow! I never did live that one down!! I'm a plumber and have worked @ the facility that chili Mac was made at. Its a very serious freeze drying operation these guys know what their doing. Being around that much pure ammonia is kinda scary but you gotta get things really cold to remove the moisture. It smells great in that place depending on what day it is, some of that food smells funky to me. Great Channel enjoy your content guys.

This one looks good! I agree on the Tabasco sauce. It just feels like vinegar + hot. I love hot sauce but there's just so many more flavorful options: Cholula, Tapatio, Valentina...I could keep going. If a restaurant only has Tabasco, I skip it 😂

Nice to see a new chili macaroni! Mountain house makes chili mac with beef in the form of hiking/camping food also, which I’m sure everyone knows. That’s one of my favorite mountain house meals. Thanks for doing this one again! When I eat the chili mac I put in less water than the package suggests so I get more of a sauce instead of a chili soup. Personally I think it tastes better, but that’s just my opinion

My grandfather was on the North Carolina he was an officer and I remember either him or someone else talking about how people in hospital would be given Hershey bars to be reminded of home and obviously the shop would have those big brand items as well. When I went I remember wanting to have one of the meals that’s was served on the ship especially meals given during thanksgiving because I feel like it would be cool idk why.

Food looks pretty good. Beef, beans and macaroni are staples for a reason. I've always wanted to try fighting with those sticks, looks pretty fun. I think I saw them in an event back when I was a child but I was late for that one and never got to try it. Thanks for the video.

I love that stuff. I never knew we didn’t have tons of money but we always ate very well. Mom used to make this often to stretch one pound of ground beef to five people. One of my favorite meals. Mom called it goulash.

We have always been able to make a great meal from very little. One of the blessings for us. I think most everyone’s Mom had similar recipes to stretch protein. Ham-ham-eggs and ham- ham salad- ham and bean soup…. 😂😂

When eating an MRE such as but not limited to chili Mac, chili, Mexican style stew I suggest crushing the crackers in the package and heating the cheese spread (until melted) and mixing them into the main meal. You will not be disappointed.

As a former US Airman. I've had this out in the field and it was a great meal, I didn't get the hotsauce you did but my buddy had some fresh chili flakes. And he didn't want them so I took the whole pack... big mistake those were the freshest, hottest and most succulent flakes I ever had.

Don't let them languish too long. They can go bad, although the freeze dried portion will take about 20 years or so. The smaller items will go bad sooner. TFW!

M&Ms and G.I.s' BFF since WWII. M&Ms were developed for GI rations and they were, and still are a big hit. Plus yeah, it is nice little morale booster for the troops on bivouac out in the God forsaken boonies
