It honestly depends even on a vacation you can eat back at the place you’re sleeping. The only thing I would say about this is I hope they tip not based on the $30 spent because they’re getting away with gratuity just for two people when really they’re a family of 6. More plates for waiters to take back more for them to attend to. Not a huge deal at all but hope the tip is bigger (if in America )

Oldest of 4 kids here. I remember when my mom would take us to McDonalds and order a 20 piece nugget and I think a few large fries. She’d set it up on the dine in tray and just dump it all! To a kid, a pile of fries and nuggets was gold! Then we got to play in the McDonald’s indoor play area . Honestly, memories that I still think about and cherish and have always made me appreciate the things my mom has done for us. Kudos to all those parents who are making it work.

If you're gonna eat out it should be an occasional fun thing instead of treating it like just another meal where dad picks everything, and if you're gonna eat out you should do it when you have the funds to, the kids deserve some options even if it's just the kids meal. This is sweet and true. I have 4 sons 16 to 23 and all out of house but youngest now and miss my boys (they are in college in other state and in military overseas) my youngest 16 is home and I homeschool him. My whole life has been for my kids and had them young but was thankful for being their mom and all the great memories and teen years where little rough but still was just happy having them and sometimes miss when little. They are like parts of my heart walking around outside my body and nothing wouldn't try to do for them. I lost my mom and all my family when I was 15 and younger so my family means everything to me. Im 41 now but have seen so many elderly people alone and so sad especially knowing they have grown children but far away. I'm retired combat veteran but I have worked in hospice before and sat with people who passed who didn't have anyone else there sometimes it was family far or didn't get along with them and always made me sad. Growing up I had 4/5 generations always around or in same home and was so greatful to have spent time with grandparents and great grandparents too.

We usually have leftovers and ask for a soup to go (sometimes they give us 2 because my daughter literally inhales their soup 🤣). Honestly, we could probably go without the kids meal because they get full off of the appetizer and soup/salad/breadsticks, but my son loves having the pasta the next day. Complaining about getting 15% when they are a shit server and give bad service. Most are very very lazy and only 2 or 3 out of about 80 at my store actually put in full effort. I tip 15 percent usually and dont eat out much, if at all. Servers fake putting on a smile and expect you to reward them for doing the bare minimum. Pathetic
@raerohan424120 күн бұрын
@@MakoKitten I'd hazard to guess this person would also give sh*t service based on their assumption. I find it wild how American servers think of a fat tip as the bare minimum to do their jobs, rather than seeing tips as a nice bonus for good service. And before anyone comes at ne with the "$3 server wage" - that's a lie. They don't make $3 an hour. The law is that restaurants can pay their servers $3 ONLY if the amount they made in tips doesn't equal or exceed minimum wage. If everyone stopped tipping, servers would still make whatever the minimum wage is for their state.
@paulallen388419 күн бұрын
Tips are all taxable income. As in whatever you claim gets taken DIRECTLY out of your check. I would work close to 30 hours a week and my checks would never be more than $200 for two weeks. That's before tipping out other positions such as bartender, busser, hostess, back of house, etc. So yes servers need good tips to survive. Anything less than 15% nowadays is taken as poor service received imo.

They are young children you don't know what they even ate that day. Y'all being to critical. Merely was just showing a meal shared between family. Who knows couldve been his only meal of the day. And yeah I saw that one got only mac and cheese and fries but some kids are picky eaters. Always usually one in the bunch. The other comment while respect for eating last( I do the same and if I don't eat that's quite alright) but to shame another and you don't even really know is pretty bogus. Eating out was always a treat just in of itself. Having little kids eat a huge meal is pretty bad especially if just fried food. unless they eat their left overs too or someone does its a waste and fries dont keep well even if baked later. But the biggest problem with that is why obesity is high even with kids. Balanced diet. As for his wife, she’s an adult she can order what she wants so criticizing him for what she chose to b fine with eating is odd to me. They have kids menus at places for a reason, serving sizes r smaller..for a reason. Order a kids burger somewhere vs a normal burger the kids burger will b smaller, u get the theme. Children don’t require as many calories n shit, over feeding ur kids is not being a good parent. They should b taught to b comfortable in their skin and as someone who grew up fat I don’t believe it should b shamed. But everybody should educate their kids about healthy meals n portions, being fat had its effects on my mental state. As a parent n now in better shape, I will always make sure my kids r full n taken care of but I will make them aware of health as well

I mean years to go as a family of nine to Golden corral and my parents would basically only have to pay for two adults and maybe two to three children, because it was still when they did the children under 10 eat free. But they tipped FAT. For what our bill would be. Having Said that, this is absolutely the table every server hates to have. Even despite the seemingly excellent behavior and politeness of the kiddos. This is the type of table they know they're making nothing on, for a lot of effort. As well as one of their bigger tables for bigger groups they can actually make money off of being taken up. They're trying to make a living just as you're trying to save as much on a bill. The difference is, if money is really a huge deal, don't go out. I'm very curious what your tip was.
