The characters are being flanderized this season. They are becoming reactive instead of proactive. The new characters are undeveloped and have very vague motivations. They could have made a far more interesting season if they had narrowed the scope and focused on character growth instead of bombarding us with so much new stuff. It's like they forgot what made the first two parts so good.

I loved how dark this season was with all the death and blood, the only big plot hole that made me giggle was how the villains needed a group of virgins as if everybody in Greendale slept with one another except for half of the main cast.

I think what she is saying is that part 2 executed Her transition to Theo, but in part 3 the relationship he has with this Straight cis gender Male seems very heterosexual. stephie wynn I agree that it’s totally okay for trans men to like men and be gay....however I have problem with the fact that this character doesn’t really look like a man and even really act like a trans man...like honestly if we are being real he just look like a butch girl. I wish they showed him talk about taking hormones and talk about how as trans people we have gender dysphoria and how it’s important for us to be taking active steps to fully transition ( like getting his named changed legally and getting his gender marker changed and taking hormones).... Hey Grace! big fan! As a gay person, I can maybe shed a bit of light on Theo's situation. Obviously, I haven't seen part 3 yet, so not sure of the exact dynamic. but they may be trying to show that Theo represents a transman who is also gay. As there are plenty of people that come out as transmen because they felt their gender identity was off when identifying as female, yet they still always found men attractive. Gender identity/expression versus someone's sexual attraction/orientation. Also, who knows maybe Theo could like other genders but this one dude worked for him. LOVE IS WEIRD. haha. thanks Grace! Parts 1 and 2 I flew through because it was interesting and engaging, but part 3 I labored through. Didn't really pickup until final 3 episodes where I was like okay I'm engaged again. Worst part of part 3 to me was how stupid Sabrina seemed. There were so many are you serious cringe worthy moments with her thought process about things or her absentmindedness. I mean the show is about magic and hell and true evil...and she thinks she can just shrug off her duties and do as she pleases and there will be no consequences to any of her actions. Then things like ring of salt...I mean who didn't see that coming? Here is hoping part 4 will be much better. Oh...and what was Grace saying about a Holiday Special? I don't recall seeing or even ever hearing of such an episode(s).

He squandered any possibilities with Kevin Keller over on Riverdale, and from the look of things he’s wasted Ambrose and Theo, too... maybe he should just stick to straight romances because he obviously can’t do LGBT ones-even though he’s gay himself 🙄

I just finished season 3 of sabrina. I'm kinda disappointed on it, to be honest. It had so much potential. And they had so many unused, underused or wasted moments. Salem, Sabrina's father, making Lilith seem threatening and cunning but she keeps getting watered down, the lack of empathy when it comes to people's pain. Like one thing they're sad or grieving, then 2 minutes its like "Oh! I'm normal again!", Roz's blindness. She didn't stay blind for more than a few episodes. And it hardly changed her, she just kept using her abilities whenever it was convenient. I feel like they could have explored that side a little. They have too many moments that are played off too quickly and makes so many characters underused and written shallowly. They did crime on the weird sisters. I thought after the mine incident on season 1 they'd be fleshed out more but they turned back into Prudence's decor and plot drivers. There's more but I've complained enough already. But this season has been convoluted its crazy. Hope next season will be better written.

And everyones transition is different some are dramatic and some are not, they're all important to show case. Like in this one I think its important to highlight that someone before and after transitioning is still the same person

For the LGBT issue. Gender identity is separate from sexual identity. So, I don't have an issue with Theo dating a cis man. In terms of the community it should be seen as a gay relationship. But, I'll have to see how it's depicted.

Honestly, I think the Theo/Robin relationship was cool. I have a friend who is a trans gay man, and I’m sure he’d love to see more representation like that on screen. Personally, (SPOILER) I think what they did with Satan was unsatisfying. Anyone whose seen the new season will know, but I guess I’ll just say he felt very downgraded. And!!! I’d be very happy to see a spoiler review/predictions for part four!! The first episode (SPOILER) I called out saying that egg that Blackwood had was Cthulhu, and felt disappointed never seeing anything much from it, but he has mentioned eldritch gods a lot this season, so I’m hoping my prediction comes to light in the next part!! As someone who is trans I’m so very glad they made Theo a trans gay man it’s very rare that a trans character also be gay. I think the only time was in shameless. That being said I think that they were super respectful and i think the only thing that gives them heterosexual vibes is that Theo is very short and Robin is not which kinda makes people regard him as the ‘female’ in the relationship but in actual scenes between them he doesn’t act like it. He takes initiative to get on top during their makeout session and later in that scene we see Robin as a little spoon which I really really appreciated not only that but they have Theo stand up to Robins bullies(Jon robins actor is actually very muscular and could take anyone in a fight) but they gave Theo the role of protecting Robin not the other way around which I felt deeeeeeefinaly was important it didn’t portray Theo as weak or helpless. It’s also important to note that Theo feels comfortable as a man with Robin.

Sexual orientation and gender identity are not the same thing. Just because Theo now identifies as a man, doesn't mean he has to change which gender he's into. It's a common thing in the LGBT community for trans men to be into cis men and vice versa. It's not problematic whatsoever. As you are a cis straight woman, I understand the concern and confusion, but it's very much a thing in the real world 😊

Actually this is not season 3 its season 2. Its the first part of season 2. Each season is split into parts season one had 2 parts, first part had 11 episodes and the second part had 9 episodes. I don’t think Prudence and Ambrose getting together undercuts any LGBT representation. They’re both shown to be pansexual, them in a relationship is still LGBT and on top of that they’re a relationship of color. We never see LGBT POC in relationships together in entertainment, so if anything Prudence and Ambrose are a wonderful form of LGBT representation!

I mean Ambrose was in a relationship before and was very Pansexual and VERY not monogamous (I believe there was an orgy scene with Prudence) so for he and Prudence to be together now and be super white picket fence about it...well I haven't seen the show yet so I won't pass judgement beforehand. But I will say Grace's account doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence.

@@johnhenrybussey Ambrose and Prudence weren't in a relationship when they were in the orgy, iirc. Maybe Prudence requires the monogamy from an actual relationship. Each relationship is different. Haven't seen the series yet either, so speculating too. Edit: I'm just saying that trans/not trans, homosexual/straight, and mono/polygamous are mostly independent of each other.

Gender orientation and sexual orientation are two separate entities in our society. Many women who transition to men are still interested in men as they always have been and visa versa with male to female transitioners

I feel like they pushed Ambrose and Prudence because of real life. It doesn't work for me. Being pan/bi is 100% a thing but I hated that again the gay couple lost someone first and then they stuck him with a girl who psychology tortured him like a day ago. I like they both but not togethet. Theo being with a cis man is something that does happen often in our community. I'm gay cis gendered and I've dated transmen and would again

This show is the closest thing we've gotten to Buffy the Vampire Slayer levels of iconic since it ended in 2003. In 20 years I suspect it will be looked back on in a similar manner. It definitely won't be as iconic or significant but it's closer than any other fantasy show out there.

I agree with a lot of these criticisms, but overall I enjoyed the season maybe even more than part two. Some of the characters definitely seemed off though. BUT being trans doesn't effect who Theo is attracted to, I think it was a much bolder choice than if they would've given him a female love interest.

Hey Grace! I wanted to chime in on Theo’s love interest; I have a friend who recently came out as a trans male, and he is currently dating a cis male. Their relationship is very close to how Theo’s ark is portrayed, minus all the witch stuff of course (haha), so I actually found his ark to be quite realistic, and I think the relationship really shows that he’s truly comfortable with himself, I can imagine it’s hard to show interest in someone else if you yourself aren’t feeling good in your own skin. Just my two cents!

Actually Theo relationship is part of the spectrum ,one thing is show you identify as a female ,male or gender fluid ,but also attraction sexual is based on what you do like (people ) so this things are apply for theo ,but I would say that I wish they give them a good development so most people can understand ,now with prudence's relationship is more about commitment which also would need. a development

The Theo relationship was fine. Just because he’s a guy doesn’t mean he can’t like guys. I feel like this is just your inexperience with the LGBT+ community showing. Same with the ‘twist’ with Zelda at the end- I saw it coming and was very happy about it. I was disappointed in Lilith this season. I wanted her to rise above the same way Zelda did. I wanted her to tap into her true power and autonomy rather than continuing to rule hell or follow the dark lord. That isn’t going to be a linear process, but season 3 seemed like it brought her down again. She’s still doing all she’s ever known as she told Sabrina in season 2.

It's ok to have Theo dating a guy. There's no problem in portraing a trans gay guy discovering his sexuality. But showing all of these things in a cis male and female love story light is PROBLEMATIC

Well the thing about pansexuality is that you have the potential to be attracted to anyone of any gender and that doesn't exclude a cis woman. Not sure how Ambros being with a cis woman makes him any less pansexual.

While I understand that a trans person can be also gay, the real problem is the dynamic of his new relationship that put him in a classic female position.
