I was in group therapy around the time 'burger king foot lettuce' became a meme and one day we went to an adventure park that had little garden beds placed everywhere for decoration and one had a wooden peg sign in it that said "Photosynthesis" in curly letters with flowers all around it and for some reason we found this fucking hilarious. I feel like Quinton is one of few KZbinrs who, when doing a video like this on another KZbinr, really pauses and considers the toxicity of the platform and how that effects people. I respect that. Being a KZbinr sounds like a nightmarish amount of work, and it's important to remember that when discussing a person's videos. It's a more humanistic way to approach the subject matter rather than "lol Chills is cringe lol"

Not necearily needlessly critical of his videos, but of Chills himself. There's also that off-handed remark about "theater kid bullshit" as a way to describe an amateur short film. Which is just mean and hipocritical coming from a KZbinr. Or that lady was actually having a psychotic episode, and Quenton dismissed her, saying she's faking it, which is even worse. Chills is one of the most down to earth dudes I've met through KZbin. But I think a better way to think about it is he makes intentionally barebones/dry content. It’s like meta entertainment for people who recall all the sensational early days of the internet. You used go on youtube and see raw cuts/rough around the edges click bait. Now everyone takes themselves super seriously. KZbin now has a creator for every niche fulfilling the role at a professional level. It's almost like nostalgic for me. The dude is hilarious imo.

One thing I can give him credit for is he's kind of a good sport about it, there's a couple times he's laughed off jokes and he enjoys the meme status. Also he's one of about 10 remaining KZbinrs that haven't gotten into that type of drama with the borderline doxxing and "noooo fanbase please don't go over to them and spam or anything" they do. I choose to believe it's a character and he's just having fun. Though I wish he was more open about it just because I think a couple million of his viewers think they're seeing real ghosts e.t.c.

There's a venezuelan (based on argentina) youtuber named Dross that makes more or less that kind of content. The thing is, he's always been open about the fact that it's just for entertainment. He has built a community around cryptids and mysteries while working as a writer on the side and uses his channel to promo his work. What is curious it's that when he started to get viral on 2010 there were people who really thought his content was real, not only kids (like was my case) grown ass adults who seemed to believe everything he said, even after he repeatedly said it was only entertainment. Chills content gives me the exact same energy
