@@glennjanot8128 there's a story in my country couple of years back. this lady scanned a qr code to install .apk for a cleaning services app. she booked a cleaning lady through the app, and when transferring the money it returned an error multiple times. then she tried with her husband's bank account and it failed again. that's when she realized something was up and checked the bank. turns out both accounts has been cleaned of money, her and her husband's. the entire operation was a scam.

​@@antdog8888 Yes and if you're doing it on your phone you have given out all the names, numbers, emails and any other personal info you have stored there for your friends and loved ones and it makes me glad to not know you or be your friend. When you download their app you give them permission to access everything including your contact information lists and access to all kinds of other accounts on your phone. You have also agreed to have malware downloaded on your phone or device whether you realize it or not because I'm sure you didn't read the fine print. Nothing comes that cheap without there being a serious catch, including the dangerous materials many things are made out of from them melting down and reusing poisonous or dangerous materials.

She was a model, so the money would probably have been part of a company card, they might have also gained access to family accounts or work accounts via her phone. If they drugged her to remove her pin/unlock, she may have no memory of consent or transfers either. I think the China censorship might have bitten her quite badly, as Dubai/UAE is a known sex slavery/trafficking location for decades. Dubai is the modern equivalent of Epstein Island. UAE is also unlikely to arrest or extradite criminals, even if it blows up internationally, and a lot of JP Morgan / Epstein associates live in UAE countries, including a lot of US/EU politicians There's also a lot of models paid to travel, where they're used as prostitutes. Lots and lots of IG models get free tickets to Dubai to 'promote' hotels and cars, sic. If they complain or don't comply with health checks or refuse their host, they get sent back. She's lucky she arrived back at all. A lot of agencies also act as fronts, as they use the modelling agency as a scouting service for prostitutes. They are also bribed or coerced, and various modelling companies are also drug runners, pimps, slave operators, etc. because of the local UAE laws that protect locals, and allow trafficking / non-extradition. Quite a lot of models are invited over to Dubai, and anything goes. torture videos, organ harvesting, "oil shieks" that steal passports and entrap/enslave women under false/forced marriage, selling women to russia/china into sex slavery are the other common outcomes.
