China-Drehzahlmesser in das VDO Gehäuse - HERCULES mit 12V Vape Zündung

Der originale VDO-Drehzahlmesser hat bei mir in Verbindung mit der Vape-Zündung nur bis 6000 Umdrehungen angezeigt und blieb dann einfach stehen. Bis 6000 passte die Anzeige jedoch gut...
Die Idee war nun, einen billigen China-Drehzahlmesser, in das originale VDO-Gehäuse einzusetzen. Diese Drehzahlmesser gibt es bei Amazon, eBay und sonstigen Onlineshops, ab 8€ und wenn man eine (schnellere) Lieferung aus Deutschland will, dann muss man ca. 15€ berappen. Das ist natürlich saugünstig und zudem noch (meiner Meinung nach) preiswert.
Was ich nicht verstehe, sind die Aderfarben: Bei der Hintergrundbeleuchtung ist rot = Plus und schwarz = Minus. Soweit so gut. Bei der eigentlichen Spannungsversorgung ist aber schwarz = Plus und grün = Minus. Was ein Blödsinn...
Das Drehzahlsignal (gelb-schwarz) wird an der Vape vom der weißen Ader abgegriffen.
EDIT: leider hat das Chinateil gerade mal 30-40 km gehalten, danach war es tot. Jetzt warte ich bis dieser Konverter (TSC91) irgendwann mal wieder verfügbar ist. Dann kommt wieder der originale DZM dran... War halt ein gescheiterter Versuch...vielleicht auch Pech.
EDIT2: Aktuell (03.04.2022) gibt es den Adapter für Schweinegeld hier: puch-ersatztei...

Sorry im training my german but i cant quite make out what you are saying or writing yet. On the other hand you seem to understand and write english quite well. What was the problem with the old counter that got you making this? Did it not work with the Vape ignition that you have or what seems to be the problem? Or did you just make it for fun ;D Great idea and great video. Not unlikely that i might acctually try doing this myself at some point. Just for fun and because i have some extra housings. Hi Mathias, it was nor just for fun 😃 Problem ist that the VDO is not working with the VAPE... By the way, the drama is not over yet because the China tachometer suddenly stopped showing anything. Maybe it didn't survive the engine vibrations. I will try (if I find the time and inclination) to tinker an electronic converter. There was once a ready-made converter, but unfortunately it cannot be found in any shop at the moment. When I've found a (simple) solution to the problem, I'll post it here. But that can take a while, at the moment I prefer to drive and the engine speed doesn't interest me that much 😊

@@Al_Vino I agree it's more for show to have an RPM counter. Can you explain why the vdo counter didn't work with the vape? I am looking to tune my 50cc Puch to around 12hp and for that i need quite a high engine speed and therefore i would like to swap for an electronic ignition but still keep the original rpm counter.

@@mathiaskling6154 Unfortunately, I don't quite understand it yet. It displayed correctly up to 6000 revolutions and then suddenly far too much. I've made a lot of attempts (including laying shielded cables), but I couldn't get a decent readout. I don't know what I did wrong or what it could be 😭

Hallo Arnold, super gemacht, sieht absolut wie Original aus. Schade das die Fernostinstrumente sehr kurzlebig sind. Hatte mal welche von KOSO- der digitale Tacho war nach 400 Km hinüber und der DZM zeigte irgendwas an- egal wie man ihn 'programmierte'...vielleicht kann man das Innenleben von einem VDO DZM der Ultra 80 verwenden? Nur so als Idee. VG, Frank

Hallo Frank, (ich bin der Alwin) da sagst Du was...bei mir hat das Teil keine 20 km gehalten, so ein Schrott! Habs hier nur nicht publiziert, weil nicht ausgeschlossen ist, dass ich den DZM "vorgeschädigt" habe. Hab mittlerweile einen Digitalen (versteckt) rangebaut, selbst der war nach der ersten Fahrt defekt. Batterie losvibriert...

Hoffentlich gibt das Teil aus der Bucht nicht so schnell auf, sonst war der Aufwand umsonst... Aber tolle Lösung, um einen original aussehenden DZM bei einer Vape-Zündung zu haben😊👍

Ja, mal sehen wie lange es funzt...eine richtige Lagerung der Achse konnte ich jedenfalls nicht erkennen. Aber gut, bei Alibaba bekommt man das Ding für 9€ incl. Versand - da werde ich mir einen Ersatz herlegen... Beste Grüße, Alwin

Hi, ich hatte es induktiv von dem Zündkabel abgegriffen (5-6 Windungen). Aber vergiss es, das Chinateil hatte gerade mal 30-40 km gehalten, danach war es tot. Jetzt warte ich bis dieser Konverter ( Name gerade entfallen) irgendwann mal wieder verfügbar ist. Dann kommt wieder der originale DZM dran... War halt ein gescheiterter Versuch🤔 Grüße, Alwin

I see....you love..it......you are someone Who like difficulty........my expérience have learnt me... that the ( RPM ) bosh (36000).. the New...with the KREIDLER......Was always broken......ME I use the old model..(24000)...with the old ignition (no electronic)... I have bought IT.. .. 1 euro..at MANAHEIM..15 years ago..(second hand).....my moped have no batterie.....About you ....your moped (it s a ROLLS..ROLLS).., AND you work very well......BERNARD near PARIS

@@Al_Vino I would like precise...the old model RPM (24000) is more robuste that the 36000....I use my KREIDLER each day .. since 1969 I do not have any other vehicle...I have put the yellow câble (front lampe)..to the RPM that all..! .but I am OK with you about New thechnologie... the elect BOSH ignition..is better but not the RPM
