@@edmundblackaddercoc8522 Honestly, I don't think it has anything to do with being Communism as such, more that the Chinese have always had a cultural superiority complex coupled with the current the restrained greed and ambition of its political leaders. Vietnam is also Communist but there is nothing of that sort of "world domination" or "we are SO superior to everyone else" coming from them. I do think that much of China's cultural, social, and political ills do come from its political system. That it encourages corruption, greed, entitlement by those in power, without having the traditional cultural values in place there once was to be any sort of effective restraint. It has become a country without morals.

@@a.westenholz4032While it might be a chinese thing, it is also very much a communist thing. Russia, Venezuela, etc all have superiority complexes.
@a.westenholz40322 ай бұрын
@@ultranecrozma7449 I think you might be making a false correlation. It isn't Communism as such, though it often leads to it due to the nature of the political set-up. But you find much of the same issues of corruption in political elites in ANY authoritarian system regardless of political ideology, where those leaders are entitled, privileged, and there is no social or legal restraints on those leaders. The problem isn't communism directly, only indirectly as it tends to concentrate power into a single party without challenge, where ALL else is sublimated to that party's interest and those who lead it, and quickly ideology will start to serve the personal interests of those leaders rather actual principles. Whether it be greed for money or more power, it soon isn't about ideology but power. So most communist regimes are authoritarian regimes. At that point it isn't really any different from any authoritarian state willing to use any piece of propaganda to stay in power. They're just using communist ideology because that's where they started. And while most communist governments are likely to end up authoritarian since having too much power corrupts- it is being authoritarian that's the problem. IF they can avoid that, even as a communist regime it shouldn't be any more corrupt for just being communist though it might have other issues. As long as there are social and legal restraints that create some form of accountability.

Only the northern parts were kept- more to control trade for tolls and tax purposes. Tibet and Xinjiang are to west and north west. The Great Wall did not extend that far originally, though the Tang might have built something while they were there 7th-8th cen. Otherwise any extension of the wall that far west will have been built by the Qing in the 18th cen. But I don't believe it does go that far west. Most of the current Great Wall we see today was built by the Ming, not Qing, and they were not in Xinjiang. But I agree with your main point. It is important to recall that the origins of humanity go back to Africa. This is backed by strong archaeological evidence and genetic studies that show that all of modern humans are descendant from populations of Africans. Thus, in a sense, ware all Africans. The frontiers and the national identities are all recent constructions in the long and complex history or our species. China is sure to submit to the authority of Kenya now that hey have taken to using archaeology as state justification.

I am from Tibet and have a profound interest in history and archaeology. I've read extensively and watched documentaries about the Silk Road. However, when exploring the history of the Silk Road and other archaeological findings, I can't help but notice changes that raise questions. I wonder if others have observed these discrepancies as well, or if it's just my intuition suggesting that some might have been influenced or bribed by the CCP, or perhaps that CCP members have been embedded with archaeologists. Your acknowledgment of my concerns affirms my doubts. My friend, you are always on the side of truth. May God bless you, and I will pray for the well-being of you and your family.
