let me tell you a story about what made me move out of China-A kid /boy pushed my daughter down the stairs at school-And caused a lot of physical and emotional pain to her at 10 years old! Guess what the school did- not call us for 6 hours after it happen and her face was black and blue! They fought us all the way and the parents did not even want to pay the medical bills-And all i wanted is the for the boy to get help because that is actions will lead to more actions of the same! And then I found out he had attacked other kids in the school and his dad was a ccp member And when I talked to the mom she said we know here you live-WTF? So I took my kid out of the school and then out of the country!! But we did get paid because my family held signs outside the father government job location and the CCP made him pay up-Never going back!

@@stormwonder We Canadians, especially in Québec, are very irreligious, most people being irreligious (atheist or agnostic), but we are still renowned as very polite worldwide. You don't need religion to dictate law and order, basic rationality is enough to realize that spitting is a type of assault. I think the real problem in China is selfishness and lack of accountability.
@UDRF
@UDRF 8 ай бұрын
@@MichaelDavis-mk4methe difference is that western irreligion was a culture shift that still keeps most (or at least a few) of the values. In China there were whole generations where all of their culture, including religion, was erased with very little of value to replace it.
@MichaelDavis-mk4me
@MichaelDavis-mk4me 8 ай бұрын
@@UDRF Well, you said it, at the end, it's your culture that matters. Religion is a part of culture, but not all of it. If you get rid of a religion but keep your societal moral code, there shouldn't be an issue. Christianity didn't invent the fact that killing, stealing, etc. is bad. Christianity contains Western values because Europeans are the ones who shaped it with values they had even when they were not Christian yet. And well, if you look at some countries like El Salvador, you can see that just because they are good, very religious, Christians does not really seem to affect their murder problem despite God saying you shouldn't kill.
@stormwonder

A 17-year-old high school boy helped an old woman who had fallen down was accused by the old woman of pushing her down. The doctor did find injuries and fractures. The Chinese judge said, "If you were not the old who pushed her down, why did you help to lift her up?" and sentenced the boy's parents to pay tens of thousands. Even kids as small as five had been victims. Some judges choose to reject CCTV proofs and eye-witness's statement. So far, houses had been sized by the court to pay compensations, victims committing suicide to prove their innocence or being pushed to the brim. Don't forget that China old people today were the evil red guards during the Cultural Revolution who had killed many innocent people.

I was at Costco today, and when I was putting my cart back I noticed that a lady who appeared to be Chinese was also putting hers back. The cart rack was jammed up, so I used my cart to kind of push a few carts together and make a little room for her. Instead of putting her cart back she left it right there in the driveway in front of the cart rack. I thought of the "broken vase" rule, and wondered if it might have been her way of not being blamed for me having to somewhat forcefully move the carts around. We (Americans) look at that behavior is rude, but it might be just fear of being blamed.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of this. If, in China, you get into an altercation, and your belligerent other falls to the ground, feigning injury, your best bet is to likewise fall to the ground... feigning even more injury. Ideally you would both end up lying motionless, pretending to be dead. And the one who moves first, loses, and has to pay damages. The Middle Kingdom can teach us so much.

I know that in India people refrain from helping others such as people in road accidents not because they are afraid of people suing them, but because it would mean that the cops would need your details, and ask you to come to the police station to come at all times to be "involved" in the investigation. The cops will call you at say 2 PM, that would mean you have to take a day off from your work, and they may not even see you till say 7 PM, if they see you at all. Not just that, they may make you a witness, which would mean that you would have to go to all the court hearings which may last & I am not kidding - decades. If you miss court hearings, you could be sent judicial summons or be sent to jail! All the travel costs are to be borne by you. Who wants that hassle? There are laws and circulars/guidelines issued by the courts and governments about not harassing the Good Samaritans, but the cops don't care. Indeed, sometimes, the cops will try and prove that the guy you brought to the hospital in your car was injured by you! They need to close cases. Sad.

I've read somewhere that Chinese drivers go after people who almost get run over or hit by a car or truck. They turn around run over potential victim and multiple times over head if need be to make sure victim don't survive. All that because of the great fear of lawsuits where a victim could claim up to 3.5 millions of yuans. They rather go to the court for traffic manslaughter where they present ridiculous defense and quite shockingly it usually works. They get minimum to none prison time and above all the victim is not alive to be able to claim multimillion damages that would put driver in lifelong lasting debts. These customs are also present in Taiwan. So it seem to be a cultural custom.

That's pretty gross. It's astonishing how the spitters are used to getting spit on so they don't react by beating the other person and just keep spitting. Gotta say I respect the guy who took drinks of water from his bottle and sprayed it out though. That was brilliant. And the skit with the sprayer made me laugh hard. Thanks for the laughs in the midst of the sobering information.

I've only been a member of your channel for a short time, but I really like your open reports from China. They show the true face of the People's Republic. Thank you very much for everything you do and also for your openness.🤠

It's Angry Spitting Cobra style. The other kung fu schools died out. Too many masters killed or migrated.
