Good question! Here in China we use alipay/wechat to pay. You can create a Chinese bank account when you’re a student or have a work visa. I created mine a long time ago when I was still a student. But recently, it’s easier to link your international bank account to these apps and use on mainland China.

graffiti is only allowed in this area of the city, it is illegal / not allowed in other areas of the city.

This is a good question. For a long time, Chongqing can be considered as the avant-garde art capital of China, where a large number of artists gather to showcase their talent. It is also involved in the planning of the ‘Design Capital’ project, competing with Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen for the throne of fashion. Chongqing’s design style leans towards the bold and avant-garde. The local government has opened up a portion of the region for artists to create, which is relatively uncommon in eastern provinces. This has attracted more artists to come to Chongqing.
