When I was working in Shanghai 12 years ago, my office was right in the heart of the city. I visited some of the most expensive restaurants and hotels, but the new ones are even fancier and pricier. I remember going to the restaurant on the 101st floor of the financial center tower, where it cost us over $1,000 for six people-and we didn’t even order much. Today, it would probably cost over $2,000.

In China, as long as you don't do anything illegal, you can do whatever you want and enjoy any freedom without any danger or police investigation. The United States says that you cannot legally smoke marijuana, you cannot own firearms, and so on, so you have no freedom! I can only say that the United States is a paradise for wealthy people to indulge in various free lives, and a hell for those without money. To put it simply, China is a country that combats drug use worldwide. Just a few days ago, the marketing president of Volkswagen China went on vacation to Thailand to smoke marijuana and brought a small amount of drugs back to China. He was found at the airport, detained by the police for 10 days, and reported to the German Embassy in China. After 10 days, he was expelled from China. The German Embassy did a lot of work to China but could not change the result. Recently, it has been a hot news topic

I went to explore Shanghai Center Tower too last Sunday. Massive and fancy. I got excellent views of both banks of the Huangpu River from 119th floor. Everything such as the TV tower became dwarf. The only issue is the uncomfortable feelings in my ears brought by the super fast lift. Overrall, Shanghai Center Tower is crazy and really worth visiting.
@YOLO-Wild_Child2 ай бұрын
The main reason why super-fast elevators make ears uncomfortable is the change in air pressure. As the elevator moves up and down quickly, the surrounding air pressure changes rapidly. The Eustachian tube in the ear usually regulates the pressure balance between the inner and outer ears, but when the air pressure changes rapidly, it may not be able to keep up, resulting in blocked ears, swelling and pain, and even temporary hearing loss.

The ancient Chinese philosophical understanding of nature and man as "the unity of heaven and man" has influenced the relationship between nature and urban landscape in modern China, and Naomi's reference to the placement of stones in Chinese parks is a good understanding of the cultural expression of traditional Chinese landscape planning
The skyscrapers in Shanghai have their own characteristics, and Shanghai's urban construction area is particularly large. The skyscrapers in Shenzhen and Hong Kong are more densely populated, similar to those in New York.

As a freediving instructor, I must remind you of something. In the high-speed elevator scene at the beginning of the video, it is extremely dangerous to inflate your ears when you feel discomfort. In fact, that sensation is akin to what we experience when flying in an airplane. However, you only need to inflate your ears to maintain equal ear pressure when descending rapidly (as atmospheric pressure increases). When ascending, atmospheric pressure decreases, and at this time, the air inside your ears should be expelled, not infused. If you persist in inflating your middle ear at this point, it may lead to perforation or even tearing of the eardrum.

The area you’re in now is one of the most expensive areas to live (comparable to New York City Manhattan area, but nicer). Also since you’re visiting during a non-holiday there are not a lot of people. Never ever go down there during a major holiday. You’ll immediately regret. I did it once not knowing any better during my early years living there. Anxiety overload 😅
