I’m a Chinese teacher. I think what you said is right. Without culture, a language is boring and lifeless. When I was giving class to my young students, the most interesting thing is to talk about our own culture. The world is beautiful because we have different cultures. But a teacher in the US school may not able to talk about it more.

I am a Singaporean Chinese. For those in China and elsewhere learning or speaking the English language, including me. Please pay attention to Jason's spoken English. Excellent pronunciation of words, where it is easy on the ears; speed of delivery is impeccable, it follows the heartbeats. Try speaking to Singaporeans with our Singlish, or Singapore English, and you will know how not to speak English. Avoid adopting the American accent, unless you are a native American. So this channel serves as an excellent platform for those learning to speak the English language and about life in current China. To learn Chinese is tough in the first year. But as you learn more and start to understand spoken Chinese, you will know more of this magnificent country. In Singapore, we speak Mandarin Chinese, Chinese dialects like Hokkien, Cantonese, Hainanese, Teochew and Hakka. Maybe you can graduate to learning Cantonese after learning Mandarin Chinese. Cantonese is more beautiful than Mandarin Chinese. Oopps😊
