Abdullah, think about it, its not so much about Islam. From what I know, my Arab and Turkish friends in China have no problem practicing their religion in a mosque. What China is against is terrorism (which we all agree with), and anti-secession (which you may or may not agree with). By anti-secession, I mean that no state has the right to hold a referendum and demand independence. In this regard, plenty of the Muslim nations agree, hence their refusal to condemn China. Its the same as in any middle-eastern nation. Could you imagine if a state wanted independence? Of course the Saudi government would crack down using the military. Only in say Canada, can people claim the freedom to declare independence.

Muslim countries are too dependant from China. That is the problem. Iran for example is too isolated to provoke a diplomatic conflict with china by criticising their actions against uyghurs. Iran would risk loosing its most Important economic partner. This also counts for many other muslim countries. Even the gulf states like saudi Arabia who are supposed to be very rich don't want to risk the Partnership with China because they know there could be a day Western partners could turn their backs against them and potentially invade them like iraq.
