The law was changed in 2010 I think. People only get to keep the assets they brought into the marriage. The women can still rip you off though, eg, drain, deplete your bank account if you have a joint account .

Actually no. For Chinese women it IS possible due to our excellent traditional diet. I am a Zillennial in my 20s But I personally know 1. A Chinese specialist doctor who gave birth to Eurasian babies at 47 and 49. 2. A high-flying Chinese chartered accountant who gave birth to a Eurasian baby at 40. 3. A Chinese cab driver who gave birth to her first child at 49!!! 4. Another Chinese woman who had her babies at 40 and 42. 5. A Chinese lady who had her babies at 40 and 48. All perfectly healthy btw. (though it is interesting to note that the Eurasian kids mentioned above display outstanding intelligence and beauty, would be interesting to look into genetics)

I've said this in another comment, but it seems ignorance is really rampant these days so here: Data-wise, there are more men than women now in China due to one-child policy (followed by the 2-child policy). Baby boys were preferred for decades and any "excess" or unwanted baby girls were sent for adoption abroad, killed, neglected, or aborted. So any information about "too many older UNWANTED Chinese women" is most likely a manipulated take... What's more, in reality, the Chinese "marriage market" or matchmaking market isn't even attended by the women (or even men), but by their parents/elders who want them to settle down in hopes of lineage continuity and passing the financial responsibility to have someone take care of them. Majority of the average women AND men in China (and many parts of Asia) these days are no longer as interested in marriage and having kids with the insane rate of political and economic instability. Y'all are free to do your research (or travel and live a couple of years in China to see how the situation is really looking regarding this matter).

I work in care home,it is very rare for somebody have no family at all,most of them have families but is very rare of them to visit.Its even harder for those who have the families becouse they dont understand why family left them here.I dont say their families are bad,no way.Those are people who are hard to take care and I can not even imagine carying that burden on your own.Some of the families gave up only after years and years.I want to say end is hard for everyone,most important is the life you had,if it was good have no regrets.

Very few women will actually be happy being alone. At least some of these women are warning other girls about it and counseling them to not make the same mistake they made. All too often women will just double down on the delusion and happily tell the younger generation to go off the cliff with them. Also, telling a woman in her 40s to have a child is utterly irresponsible. The chances of having a child with genetic defects is a lot higher for a woman in her 40s and that's assuming she can even get pregnant at all. I have better things to do in life. Marriage and family is not the only way for a happy life. They can only make life more difficult and complicating. I am not afraid to die alone because I have God by my side. I have experienced miracles in my life. I need only God to take me when the time comes. He saved me from 3 near missed accidents at the same traffic junction within the same month. I don’t believe in any religion, but I do know God exists. The more suffocating one feels. Like the cow, humans have a certain limited amount of freedom. If you don’t how to appreciate that freedom, someday when it is taken away from you, you will cry like hell and thetre is no one to release you. You think it is easy to take care of a child from birth until he grows up? You know how much endurance you need? You know how much frustrations you got to go through? You now how much harder you have to work each day of your life? And in the end, you think you will be rewarded? Lucky if you will, but very unlucky when all the money you have used up on your child and he just leave you to take care of yourself because he also has his own family to take care, good luck to you if you have no or little savings when you grow old. I have seen a lot of men ran away from their responsibilities leaving the wife to carry the full burden on her shoulders. Good luck if your spouse is a good one. Otherwise, be prapared to suffer. I am not saying getting married is essential to avoid all possible tragedies including being leftover in solitude. Some of them is hellish like endless quarrels, spouse swindling, violence and cumulative rancor, betrayal, destined to divorce, illness or endless caregiving to family members.... all sorts of human tragedy is predicted whichever they'd choose, life is full of sadness and anguish. Every path of their life depends on their past karmas including their youth choice for not getting married. But being in the wedlock isn't always equal to happiness nor living alone to misery. Suppose if a person would meet a spouse who is fake, con, lier, criminal, felon, traitor, thief, gambler, casanova, gangster, mafia,... would that be happy life with that? Or suppose if the spouse is always cheating behind you, will that wedlock be not a hell? Too painful marriage is no better than nothing sometimes. And the loneliness they want to avoid would never be fulfilled in any sense, worse than nothing indeed. Who can answer what is right from what is wrong? My point is, no one is going to get married by watching a show. There needs to be concrete help!! Childcare rates are atrocious!! So what age do Chines people go into nursing homes. I would say that it is usually 80'sh. Chinas economy only took off 40 years ago. So the first batch would have to be about 40 years in the 80's. This does not add up. To me this is just make believe scaremongering. In any case older people with money could get a live-in companion or enjoy their pets as companions.

The truth is that, as you've said, Data-wise, there are more men than women now in China due to one-child policy (followed by the 2-child policy). Baby boys were preferred for decades and any "excess" or unwanted baby girls were sent for adoption abroad, killed, neglected, or aborted. So any information about "too many older UNWANTED Chinese women" is most likely a manipulated take... What's more, in reality, the Chinese "marriage market" or matchmaking market isn't even attended by the women (or even men), but by their parents/elders who want them to settle down in hopes of lineage continuity and passing the financial responsibility to have someone take care of them. Majority of the average women AND men in China (and many parts of Asia) these days are no longer as interested in marriage and having kids with the insane rate of political and economic instability.
