I went on the Shanghai metro in 2018, and I was astounded. The network was so vast and deep down, you could take journeys of escalators going down or up, especially in an interchange station. Thousands would be on their phones because wifi was already widespread underground. Everything was so seemless and in order, and was very cheap. I’ve travelled on the Shanghai maglev and China’s high speed rail system. It is world class! It’s great to see your authentic shots of China Subway VS America Subway in your videos.I am so impressed by this. I only wish we have such modern and convenience transport system in the US. It is so dirty and dated in the US. China is allot more modern and developed than I expected! Our media in the West always tells us China is collapsing.

US has a car culture, public transportation within a metropolitan area by rail & buses is not prioritized leading to under-investment to the point of neglect. Hence most of the subway systems is in the state they're in right now. But the road transport network system to cater to road vehicles - freeways, highways, wide boulevards, etc. are modern, extensive & well-maintained.

It's because average to below income people don't matter to them. Just so long that the top 1% stay on top and continue to get richer, that's all that really matters to them. Also, in a capitalist society, there can be no rich without the working poor. It's just how things work with that kind of system unfortunately.

We can actually go fishing because our natural lakes havnt been fished into extinction! Our air isn’t so polluted we can’t see the building across the road ! No doors on public toilets in China let alone toilet paper ! Old people spitting everywhere ! If this ever has a kid their grandparents will refer to them as wai guo ren 😂😂😂! Most of us Americans live in 3+ bedroo 2+ bath houses with big gardens and big bbqs ! Most Chinese people live in crappy little apartments that look like they are gonna fall apart after 5 years! There is a reason why 90 percent of Chinese would leave China for America or the west if they had the chance 😂😂😂 I could go on all day lol … congratulations on you flashy subways though!!

Great Video, Good Editing and Comments! Keep up your good Work! ❤ from USA! Your work help educating the American here to know what going on in the World 🌎! I am a loyal US citizen, I wish all American know how Far we are behind the World 🌎 , especially China! We need our government to spend more money in Education, Infrastructure etc. and not Military Weapons to invade the World under their so called Democracy !!! American are digging their Heads in the Send like an Australian Ostrich in the Desert because they are so ignorant under their Fake News Propaganda Government Control Network, so that we are all Blind Folded in US by Satan = Anti Christ!!! US create thousands of Lawyers every year! They are all Career politicians work selfishly for their own political interests and for their country folks! While China spending Huge Amount of money on Education to produce millions of skillful dedicated Scientists and Engineers to build infrastructures! That's makes an Amazing difference!!! It takes a century for America to Risk Up to a Super Power while China only takes 20 to 40 years to Rise Up to be a Global Leader 20 years ahead of the Western World 🌎 NOW, if you seriously do a research on You Tube or Google about Top 20 Cities in China or China Infrastructure, Speed Rail, Mega Projects, Military Power etc . !!!

In Nuremberg, Germany, there is also a driverless subway, even without staff at the front. So you can stand there by yourself and imagine being the driver xD But of course Nuremberg subway is a lot smaller, which is obvious if you think about that this city has only 1/30 the population of Shanghai...

This is one view - One must bear in mind that China's beautiful subways are very new while most of US's system is very old. The US can't upgrade their aging system due to many reasons, the primary one is money. Most of its budget is spent on warfare than its ordinary citizens. Of course they can issue bonds or print more dollars but that'll just add up to the trillions of $$ debt .... well, you can figure it

The US Metros and trains may be ageing but is there any excuse for not keeping it all clean and spotless? Do elderly people stop taking baths and deodorants simply because they are getting old? One should stop making excuses for bad social behavior and bad attitudes towards one's own public property and have some pride enough to maintain them instead of having graffiti and foul language defaced across public walls and trains with slashed seats and smashed windows. These have nothing to do with whether something is new or old.

I used to live and commute in Paris. My nose got used to the smell. Whenever I revisit Paris, oh boy, the bad smell of the old world, raw sewage, and other smells cause nausea. But after a few days, the body adapts and everything is fine. The scenes from NY subways are terrible! The Chinese subways look good and worthy of the investment. Chinese new airports are also world-class level. When it comes to cleaners, Singapore is still probably #1.

Bit of a bad comparison. China is now the US of the 1970s. The Chinese middle class is getting richer, skyscrapers, shopping centers and infrastructure are being built, capitalism and materialism, status in the world, car industry, etc, something that also happened in the heyday of the US. I don't know if Americans are jealous of China because the US is still a popular country for many Chinese to immigrate, study and work. I don't see a big wave of American and European migration to China.
