I find it funny how they talk about manners and rudeness. I live in Jonesboro Arkansas, it has a lot of Chinese students who study at ASU, and they are some of the rudest people I've ever met. I've seen Chinese students spit inside of elevators and buildings in general, and they just toss trash around like it's nothing. They have a lack of manners that I find significantly appalling, I find it appalling because they're completely unapologetic about it. It might be because I'm a southerner, but that kind of unapologetic rudeness pisses me off.

I also find the statements very funny too, "You should go and learn Chinese". Every time I went to Starbucks in China. They would always ask me what I wanted to order in English. As an English man wanting to practice my Chinese, I would reply to them in Chinese, in which they got either offended or made an excuse that they couldn't understand what I was saying (I speak to my wife every day in both English and Chinese and I have my HSK, so they definitely know what I am saying). So I would be considerate and allow them to speak English because I knew it made them feel better about themselves, and it would be good practice for them anyway if foreigners were coming to China wanting to order drinks. So when these people say, "You should learn Chinese", I just laugh. Please don't get me wrong, not all Chinese people are like this. A lot of them are quite mature people and educated, especially those who have studied abroad and know more about culture outside of China.

Areo Deus Yea I’m not even arguing that English is a superior language. It’s just the idea that Chinese is the language of the future would imply that China is going to conquer half the world like England did. The reason most of the world speaks English is because of colonialism and subjugating other people. I don’t see China conquering the Western world any time in the near future, and that would be the only way Chinese could truly become the language of the future.

I've seen blacks, arabs, asians, many people from many different countries. And they all had one thing in common - no matter how bad, but they could speak Russian. Never the case with chinese people. They just refuse to learn any other language. Not only this is disrespectful, but also really troublesome. It seems that they actually do believe that China is the only future so you don't have to learn any languages whatsoever. And this is totally wrong

In Greece, Chinese tourists are generally considered to be rude and inconsiderate. When I visited the Parthenon, I saw a Chinese child taking a piss near the marbles, and his father shouting him to hurry. This does not apply of course for all Chinese people, but still, Chinese tourists are not considered the most well behaved in Greece.
