China goal is not trying to destabilise any economy with asymmetrical trade balance . It's just that the only thing they need from Iran is oil and gas, whereas China can provide Iran just about anything it needs. The problem is that Iran needs much more from China than China needs from them. That's due to shear size of China land, resources and people. It just can overwhelm rapidly any other economy since their scale of trade can grow exponentially. it goes the same for African Nations or South Americans. What China expects from these relations is to create a strategic geopolitical partnership with the world that is constructive rather than destructive and stabilizing with respect to Western power hegemony. This is most obvious with the expansion of BRICS+. So far China foreign policy is essentially neutral. People can argue, but China has been trying to be consistent in its approaches. As such China is more reliable mediator for any peace negotiation, a role it is always willing to undertake as it serves its cause well. It's really threading a thin line that's made of silk.

Unfortunately, this conflict is one of those situations where having a mediator won’t help a whole lot. The Iran and Saudi mending of ties only happened because both of them were stable and were willing to give peace a chance because of potential economic benefits. The Israeli-Palestinian conflicts don’t have that going for them. We won’t see China doing beyond what it’s doing now, until the fighting stops.

China's energy needs are being met. It's Europe who's not and Europe who had their nordstream pipeline blown up by USA and it's Europe whos in recession. Chinese ships aren't being attacked either in red sea. Iran, Saudi Arabian, UAE, Egypt, Ethiopia etc all just joined BRICS, all oil producing countries basically. Russia has also been pushed into Chinas arms by hsa and west. Chinas energy needs have been guaranteed for decades to come, and China is the world leader in Green technology and is leading the world in switching to electric cars and renewables. China is growing steadily and dominating electric cars and renewable tech, and building new nuclear plants with new advanced technology. China was building new advanced nuclear plant for even UK before USA forced them to cancel it along with Huawei networks, same as USA blew up Nordstream after Germany closed down their nuclear plants. Now they are in recession since they are no longer competitive energy wise, and cannot buy cheap Russian oil either. It's Europe who has shot itself in the foot. Along with UK and brexit. UK and Europe are non longer great powers. It's only China and USA, and Russia to a lesser degree. Russia has the land, resources, and military power so it will always be relevant. Europe is a continent and divided, and has basically been hobbled. They needed Russia for energy. Now with middle east wars and red sea issues, they are even worse off than they already were. This will be the end of Europe if they don't play nice with China and bend the knee and ask China to save them, since only China can help them mitigate their mistake vis a vis Russia and middle east. And also to help them defend against USA who wants to keep them out of the game. We will see if Europe can get smart leaders and wake up, otherwise if they keep going the way they are for another decade or two, they will be a non entity for real as China keeps rising and no longer will need nor care about Europe as a "peer" but instead see it as a "lesser". Same as usa sees and treats Europe. The ball is in Europes court. If it treats china as an enemy and not respect china as an equal or superior like it does with usa, it will really be their end. What you talking about? Red sea? China is there right now, and has been doing anti piracy and protection for that region for over a decade already. They have a base in Djibouti, and the current task force of 3 ships there currently in the red sea is the 45-46th task force which as I said, has been doing that for over 10 years and protecting trade routes from somali pirates, and also from any terrorists if they target Chinese ships. They will also protect any other ships who request it(Chinas own statement). What they won't do is take sides and get involved in a war that was started by USA and Israel against Iran, Palestine, Houthis etc. Chinese ships aren't being attacked by Houthis or rebels in general. But since USA ships are there, and since Chinese ships have been there for a decade, Chinese ships are there to make sure USA doesn't play some games and attack Chinese ships and then try to blame it on Iran or houthis etc, and to make sure no accidents happen where Chinese ships are accidentally targeted. And if they are, China can defend them. India isn't a real power, and neither is europe. Only USA is. The rest aren't doing anything, and doing less than china. China has been there nonstop for over a decade. "Europe" nor India has been doing as much as China has against pirates or terrorists. China can protect itself and it's own interests, and it has. It doesn't need USA to protect its trade routes, let alone Europe or India who can't even protect themselves. Could it be because Egypt and China are prepared to sacrifice income in support of the Houthis’ political objective of stopping the Gaza massacre? Another major failing of this program is the failure to ask the American participants why they are still supplying weapons for use in the Gaza massacre? Thirdly, the most important moral question that has not been asked of the Americans is why thousands of Palestinian should die for Israel’s security? Are Palestinian lives worth less than Israeli lives?

China is more concerned about genocide. There are no urgency toward Ukraine because China send peace envoy to negotiate a deal but Ukraine refused. And China know Ukraine was doing the same thing to Russians in Ukraine like the Israeli is doing to the Palestinians. The Donbas areas wanted independence from Ukraine. The west and Ukraine agreed and signed the Minsk agreements. Yet they kept on attacking and killing people of those region and refused to honor the agreement. Thus the reason for special military operation to protect the Russians in those region. The Donbas region already passed referendum for self rule in 2014. Russia already annexed the region into Russia. Israel bombing Gaza is obviously not trying to protect the Palestinians. Some of the Donbas region, Russia already started the rebuilding while Israel keep destroying.

EU refuse to back China to bring collective pressure on Ukraine and Russia to make peace, so the envoy could only go home. China has been consistent. just like it is trading with Ukraine and Russia and never sanctioned either, it is trading with Israel and Palestine still and not sanctioned Israel or whatever either. So what is this "China is so concerned" about? China has been consistent and had this position with Palestine for decades, along with non interference and neutral, peaceful foreign policy that doesnt choose sides. And don't say china only cares for itself and it's own side.. since every country does that. China is just open about it and doesn't pretend otherwise.
