Oms Mall Yes. Tests shows that a certain compress force will greatly increase the battery pack cycle life. Some will specified in the datasheet. You can have a check if condition permits.

Hi, do you think it is important to clamp and compress prismatic LiFePO4 cells when they are assembled into a pack? I heard that if you don’t do this the cells can swell up and bulge. If you do not thinking compressing the cells is required, how else can you stop cells expanding? What causes the swelling?

The problem is that we the people pay for grade A cells, but they ship us grade B cells. Even from companies that did ship grade A cells to some people, so you never know what you will get .

Yeah, Dewesh. I've heard of optimum nano, U Better, FB Tech, Lithium valley. whichever is more reliable, it's just my personal opinion. So I'll keep silent about this. We may do another video about optimum nano later. Now, the best way to find the right manufacture is to know their testing standards. That is the datasheet.
