"Humble Pie". Aw, shucks. I thought I had had enough of that in my life. Thanks for the demo.

Those are awesome exercises. We've had a LOT of smoke here in Parker, CO, too. We could hardly see the farm across the street for a couple of days. We fortunately got an unusually winter snow storm a couple days ago. It's helped clear the air. I ordered one of the mullen-mouth, loose ring snaffles with the cricket. The horses are enjoying it very much. it's a good tool for jaw flexion and reading the horse's state of mind. I hope your bit maker stays safe. It's time we all got back to prayer, as the state of affairs in the world has gotten significantly out of balance, again. Thank you for your sound, common sense leadership. It's too bad that the people who are grounded and working ranches are too busy to run for Congress.

This is such an interesting exercise. A great way to learn feel. I really appreciate the videos showing how you progress with Chinaco. And yes, timing is critical. I have my work cut out for me! You make it look easy. It's definitely not. No hurry though, not on any time table. You are a fantastic instructor, and I love your humor.

Could you help me to understand, why do we need this exercises later in our life with horse??
@dnulsrot4 жыл бұрын
It's not the exercises, it's about control, timing ,feel and discipline. Without that you don't have the horse later in your life :)

As Pat stated in this video, working off of feel means less pull on the mouth later when horse is being ridden.
Chinaco is not an Azteca he is a Lusitano/ Andalusian cross that Deb and Pat have raised from birth to become a California bridle horse.

@@BlackKettleRanch An Iberian horse is not a breed it is a region in Europe that includes Portugal and Spain and some of southern France. All of this area encompasses several breeds. Two of these are the Andalusian of Spain and the Lusitano of Portugal. Pat bred this colt probably from his Lusitano mare Lola and an Andalusian stallion that I don't know of. If you still question my assertion of what this gelding is open Pat's KZbin video "Chinaco - First Day of School Pt 1" and read the description of the video. Barring that maybe Deb or Pat could clear it up for you.
