Disclaimer: I am not an engineer by any stretch of the imagination. I noticed when editing this video I called a "nut" a "screw" and many other stupid mistakes...you get the idea. I got the Token BB for free with my frame and the Hambini BB was also provided free for review purposes over 1yr ago and it's been sitting in my cupboard waiting for a build I have upcoming. I installed it and took it for a few rides for this video. I use Token BBs in 3 of my bikes with over 11,000km on them, but this particular unit has less than 1000km on it as I'm just using it to review a power meter. All opinions expressed in this video are mine alone and neither of the manufacturers have seen this video prior to it's release.

I made the mistake of buying a Token Ninja. What POS! it broke, not broke, exploded in less than 50 miles of use. Bought off eBay from what would seem to be Token's preferred seller, Cyclingboss-us. An obviously skilled ripoff Artist seller. I made the mistake of inquiring about a refund before posting my review. The minute I did that, they blocked me so I couldn't post a review or ask any more questions. Like I said, Skilled ripoff artist. And Token and eBay know. Money talks, right? Meanwhile, the WheelsManufactoring BB I put on after that, now has well over 1000 miles with zero issues...

Aerospace is all about defined processes, material certifications, quality testing and traceability. Traceability means that there are traceable records for every aspect of all components. So for the bearings, you would have a record that showed the manufacturer and lot number for the bearings, and the manufacturer of the bearings would have a record of the material (with chemistry and testing documents) that was used to make the bearings for that lot. And there would probably be a sample of bearings from each lot that was destructively tested to qualify the lot. This is what makes aerospace parts so expensive. And in this case, bottom brackets.

Hambini’s bbs are designed and manufactured to precise engineering standards - ie press fit tolerances are adhered to etc… unlike the bike industry where they design according to standards, then fail at the manufacturing side…

The Hambini BB is made to the very highest sizes & tolerances, I've seen the video where an independent engineer thoroughly checked every dimension & tolerances and was very Impressed on how well the BB was made, so you get what you pay for.

I have an Allez Sprint with the Hambini Racing BB30 to Shimano BB. Besides fit/comfort related stuff, it's easily the best upgrade I've made. Makes climbing out of the saddle super fun.
