There are no “classes” in China, based on the video it’s just an old neighborhood which doesn’t mean it’s poor. Depending on the location, an old house may be pricer than a brand new high rise apartment. Your thumbnail image seems to suggest it’s a red light district, doesn’t look like one.

The "slum" in your video was actually very nice. No trash; the people are neat and clean. The buildings may be old but not a bad place to live. I consider a "slum" to be trashy . Nothing like the slums you see in the Philippines, Vietnam, or the United States.. Thanks for sharing the video!

I was going to say the same thing! Yeah, it's run down and the sidewalks are crumbling, but you don't see litter! Interesting! There's a lot worse places right here in the US!

This post is misleading and disforms the public. Look up the word slum in the English dictionary, none apply to this housing area. It is an old village, it's clean, fresh water and electricity utilities services readily available, not overcrowding or buildings in disrepair. Obviously the up loader has travelled outside China. Some people live in far worst conditions in Los Angeles and philadelphia both cities in the United States, where people openly taking drugs and sleeps in the streets!

Most of the younger people move to the city center. Most of these older buildings are outside of the city center. Most older people don't want to move away.
