That is why he is the diplomat, and she isn't. In fact, I doubt America has diplomats who could make the grade except may be Henry Kissinger and the late Madeline Albright. The first fact-to-fact meeting between USA and China in Hawaii clearly demonstrated the lack of tack of the Americans. By coming out all guns blazing claiming to be in a "position of strength" is well, a weakness in terms of diplomacy. How about Biden warned China not support Russia. It should have been conducted behind closed doors if any harsh words are to be used, not with a megaphone.

The woman in red was rude was not because she didn’t know what politeness was, but because she was required to show her “toughness” in such an outrageously rude manner to China to stay in the business in the West market. This Tv show is an excellent showcase of today’s real China and America relationship. China is on the defensive stand while the US, as usual, is increasingly hostile towards China publicly. The purpose of this program was to humiliate and shut down Chinese narratives, not to invite the ambassador to have his voice heard by the audience.

But you also got to admit the ambassador is also somewhat weak in rebutting her points. It is obvious she is pushing a specific narrative. And her narrative is the war can only end by Russian capitulation. The ambassador could call out her on peddling a specific narrative. But he failed to articulate that point. I imagine the ambassador is intelligent but he is forced to play a diplomatic role. The journalist obviously sensed that weakness and constraint and when full ahead for the kill. US Media is mainly about entertainment. Nothing beats ringing jingoistic bells when it comes to entertaining a narcissistic audience.

Why are Russia and China blamed for everything that goes wrong in this planet? Is it really so bad that Russia and China exist as nation states? Chiu Yu PhD Physical Sciences, Major US University The question already answered itself. Russia and China are indeed blamed for every single thing that went wrong on Earth. Furthermore, Russia and China are being credited for nothing that went right on this Earth. Being a physical scientist, I know the probability for such a thing happening is less than one part in one trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion …. for any system imaginable. The only remote chance for this to happen is if you are at the temperature of Absolute Zero, or minus 273 degrees Celsius. Nobody knows how to cool the entire Earth to this temperature, trust me. Even Outer Space is warmer than this! Yet exactly such a picture, no less, is being paraded on western media day in and day out. So? Don’t you think you asked a great question? In contrast, the Chinese ambassador was polite, matter of fact and explained the Chinese position quite well. Inspite of the recent agreement with the US to buy LNG, Europe will continue to buy natural gas from Russia. It will take years to permanently replace Russia as a source of NG. All of Ukraine's statement vis a vis China relations have all been respectful and positive in spite of the fact that China refuses to condemn Russia. They realize China's own position and they also can see that a good relationship with China will be essential for reconstruction of their battered country. I have been kidded by international friends that I don't seem American because I am too logical. That saddens me more than I take it as a compliment. Quite effective in fact on their own population when you say things like Russia and China is coming for Americans and will take away basketball, football, baseball, burgers, BBQ putting in the fear mongering decades in the making passing on from one generation to the other.

Old people usually have gadgets they've collected during their lives, locals typically may not be able to afford better stuff. I could go on and on, but I guess you are entitled to your opinion. One word from my side, I was thinking in a similar manner when I was poor and surrounded by poor. You need to break the cycle and start making acquaintances with people better off so that they could help you advance, rather than just sit in your mental shithole of poverty and the feeling that your life sucks and nothing can be done about it. My life turned about the moment I've started to consider roping my way out, but decided I wanna live and will do so in spite of all other people trying to get me swinging. The News white host truly displayed her ignorance on the current events of the war, judging from her position & in her line of questioning , with the intention of putting the Chinese ambassador on the spot. The Chinese ambassador responses are professional which clearly states China’s position in regards to the war situation and as a sovereign nation, China insists on a mediated solution for a peaceful conclusion of the war , rather than acting negatively and contributing to an escalation of this proxy war which Ukraine is the pawn.

Thankfully, Indonesia, China, and Brazil rejected it, saying that the G20 is a multilateral economic forum and all members should be invited. I told my wife: _"Let's go to sleep"_ Upon seeing the knife, my wife sat up abruptly and looked at me with wide eyes. _"What are you doing? Sleeping with a knife?!"_ she exclaimed. I replied: _"Don’t worry about it, let’s go to sleep. Besides, me sleeping with a knife is none of your business and it is my freedom."_ My wife said: _"You're crazy! How can I sleep when you are lying next to me with a knife? What if you accidentally cut me?"_ I replied: _“Well, you don’t even trust your own husband, how can you expect Russia to trust Ukraine? Sleeping with a knife is like Ukraine joining the NATO."_ .... An anonymous analogy taken off Weibo.

Which country amassed 150,000 soldiers and hundreds of tanks on the border, Russia or Ukraine? Russia is the one with the knife. In the 73 years of the existence of NATO, they have made no aggressive moves against the Warsaw Pact, the Soviet Union, or the Russian Federation. NATO is a mutual defense organization only. Russia has violated the U.N. Charter that they signed. The Charter only allows for defensive war and Russia is the aggressor. There is no provision in the Charter for pre-emptive war, and it doesn't give any nation the right to unilaterally revoke the sovereignty of another nation.

@@2005sty Putin has been trying to solve this diplomatically for 15 years. The last conversation on this topic was on February 19, according to an article from the WSJ. Zelensky categorically rejected all proposals for a peaceful settlement. It is important to understand that after the coup d'etat in 2014, which was fully sponsored by the United States, Ukraine adopted radically hostile rhetoric towards Russia. Already during the Maidan in the squares people were chanting "Muscovite on gilyaku" (all residents of Moskvyn gilyatin), needless to say that the residents of Russia, who at the beginning supported the protesters in their will, were shocked. Our countries have never had irreconcilable grudges against each other. It's as if Russia now helped the people of Canada overthrow the government with a popular uprising, and after that, the new Canadian government announced that it was very afraid of the United States and asked to place a Russian military base on its territory.

That reporter was very naive and assertive by ignoring other talk and common sense to acknowledge. She obviously refused his opinion and targeted Anti-Russia propaganda rhetoric and built off lies until that Chinese ambassador agree with her. She is very much a dangerous woman and displays very dangerous and illogical claims. She should be fired.

The interviewer assumes a lot of things instead of simply accepting what the ambassador said. It appears that she is attempting to paint China in a negative light.

The Chinese ambassador was interrupted more than 20 times when answering questions, which shows the professional quality of the American journalist. In the end, the Chinese ambassador dismissed the naive question raised by the reporter, "You are too naive..." The potential meaning of this sentence in Chinese is "Your level is too low, for me, answering your question is a waste of time".

This reminds me of another interview, it was with Putin who told his interviewer, "You're a beautiful woman, but you don't listen to me". Both interviewers were more interested in what they want to say, and not so much the interviewee's reply. Interesting way of conducting an interview.

Very true. For years and years US presidents have been trying to get NATO to spend more on defense. Did they do it? No! But Vladimir Putin got NATO to not only spend more money, but send aid to a non-NATO combatant. He got Sweden to send aid to Ukraine. He got Finland to start discussing NATO membership. He got the Swiss! to participate in the sanctions. Ireland to start discussing giving up their neutrality. Germany to commit to spending more and to send aid to Ukraine. We owe it all to Vlad. Go Vlad go. I want to see what you can do next. Hugs and Kisses from America.

They already signalled a false flag allegation that China provided military aids to Russia. No basis or truth to the allegations and yet they continue to peddle this bs. They will learn that China is patience, measured and sensible. They will risk the ire of the dragon and if they are not careful they will be burnt as President Xi had warned about playing with fire.

@@quintrankid8045 Yes, they do as long as they are not goad by the Disunited States who constantly sowed chaos, mayhem and death. Already broke like hell with a $30 trillion debt and still acting like a moron stirring trouble across the world pretending to care about human rights and freedom. Yes, the west think they have a monopoly on intelligence and morality. The only monopoly they have is the sewer of humanity. After 20 years of trying to bring human rights and democracy to Afghanistan they were chased out with the tails between the legs. I am from the ASEAN region and let me assure you across the region other than lapdog Singapore, the rest are in unison that China is a force for good. The interviewer was rude and unprofessional and did not know how to have a conversation. Well we judge someone by their behaviors not their words. These people don’t even know how to treat a fellow human being respectfully (let alone this is an ambassador who represents a country) and yet they want others to follow their lead.
