Yes, bought 38mm road wheels from Carbonzone.Paid with PayPal. Delivered to country NSW in 2 weeks. Packaged boxed very good. I think customs pocked a small finger size hole in the center of the box to put a camera in to have a look. At the Post Office the box was sooo lite the girl asked me what was inside, because big box sooo lite. 3000 klm and more, now 4 months of rough and potholed roads. Riding 4 or 5 days a week and racing on the weekends. Are these wheels good? No,...they are Fantastic... rolling sooo good, aero like cannot imagine. These wheels are magic. But I am short and light 55kg, but I treat them rough. My bike does it all from Cafe rides with the old blokes, racing at home and Gold Coast, hills, mountains, long rough country rides every week. My bike does it all, even to Woolies shopping and out to the beach for a swim. Everyday Carbon I call them. No bullshit, they dont hang on the wall in the garage, they are on the bike. Did the research, got the product. Very Happy. Cheers.

6000 ks on the Carbonzone 38mm wheels, still going super strong. Ride everywhere on these wheels. Over the grass, dirt, potholes, anything that these rough country roads in Northern NSW has thrown at them, and still riding to Woollies for a bag of groceries. A friend bought a set of Zipp second hand wheels and soon pulled a spoke riding these roads. Only have one complaint, I really like the Continental Ultra Sport Tyre, but have found them super super hard to get on these wheels. Both folding and wired tyres are exceptionally difficult to get on the wheel. Any thoughts on this. Thanks.
@stevenleffanue8 жыл бұрын
+ozesalsa Great wheels! If you need to fix puncture on a ride,tight beaded tyres will not be pleasant. Better to find an easier fit tyre...theres plenty to choose from these days. If you insist on the Ultra sports,try using talcum powder or soap n water to fit them on....perhaps well rounded steel tyre levers too.

@@frvnkmvlik3034 Sad to day that the bike, Felt f5 , 48cm, was stolen about 3 years back, but i had put 40000klms on it, and about 35k of those on the Carbonzone wheels. All was going very good. Bike looked and rode fantastic. Now i ride an Airwolf carbon Chinese frame A$650, with some super cheap Chinese wheels and Ultegra running gear. Built the bike myself. Great bike, aero, very fast, even with fat 28cm tyre on the back n 25cm on the front. Rough roads here. Very nice frame, incredible finnish. The cheap wheels do break the heads off the spoke nipples occasionally, but they come with spare spokes n nipples. I just change myself, pretty easy. Wheels cost me A$350 the pair, on sale. Not complaining, no way. Just done 20000klms on this bike, would be crit racing but for Covid and now the wet weather. Buy everything online, do everything myself. DIY kind of guy. Dont like bike shops much..lol. But the Felt from the shop was a beauty. Sad. Hey, have fun, dont waste money on all that expensive crap. If it brakes, buy another one, who cares...lol.

Most American company has manufacture in China. So made in China is not bad as most people think, if the product was supervised with high standards. Even made in USA product has cheap quality sometimes... just be careful about fake brand products...and technology in China is growing, so at certain level, it doesn’t matter in which country the products was made from anymore as long as product meet certain quality. And company save the cost, and consumers can buy at cheap prices.

May I enquire where you bought the Look copy frame with an integrated stem? I believe, the video review you had of it, is no longer online. And if it's worth having. And more on the topic, are the aerodynamic carbon rims compatible with dynamo hubs (such as, the SON 28 or the Shutter Precision, of which there are the 28, 32 and 36 -spoke versions) - or does the lacing pattern not permit for the use of the hub dynamo? Of course, the carbon wheels you are showcasing, have only 20 / 24 spokes, but surely there must be heavier-duty ones with more spoke holes. Just as importantly, certain lacing patterns (such as radial) are not supported (or at the very least, not recommended) by dynamo manufacturers. Then, there's the question of reliability: I weigh between 85kg and 125kg (damned be my insatiable appetite and sweet tooth!). Even when in shape, I have somehow managed to break quite a few spokes and wheels (from 20" Rolf and Kinetics to a 26" 32-spoke Mavic 317 to 28" rubbish wheels) without ever trying to. Upon the other hand, my Shimano XT rear wheel, acquired in 2011 and installed in my Cannondale Caffeine F1 (converted for touring - with slicks and a rear rack) has withstood uncanny assaults by my 95kg butt + 30kg worth of luggage on continental bike tours as it ought to. Spokes: are [Chinese] aerodynamic spokes as tough as Sapim's best and the triple-butted DT Swiss Alpine III? Thank you lots for the anticipated reply.

There is an old saying, buy cheap buy twice. I bought 50mm carbon wheels from yoeleo, within six rides the front wheel cracked around the valve hole making them useless. The rear wheel hub went so stiff it was not safe to use. I contacted yoeleo, and after watching my video said they would send me a front wheel rim which I had to re build using the existing hub and spokes.I would be charged for shipping, then I would have to pay import duty on top. I had to pay £70 import duty before they were released to me. They also said they would send me a new rear hub, but I would be charged for it. My local bike shop said they would not touch Chinese wheels. You takes your chances , I was the unlucky one. There is a reason why you pay so much for proper wheels. Do you think carbon, let alone, any of the chinese carbon wheels could hold up to the test. I'm thinking it's more about numbers of spokes than carbon strength. Any input would be greatly appreciated JS
@stevenleffanue8 жыл бұрын
+jzimmt Carbon rims are very strong but not so forgiving. So when carrying weight is involved you would need wheels that have more give than a race-ready carbon rimmed set,otherwise you may end up cracking the rim. Alloy rimmed wheels may be the better option for you . Much can be said about wheel performance : construction. Your best option would be to find a reputable wheel builder and discuss your options there. All the best....Steven

@farouk65648 жыл бұрын
+oz cycle I thought it was compatible since i saw android support on their website anyway another way is to get a dedicated voice recorder such as the excellent and affordable zoom h1 however that means you will have to sync the audio in post. Its a little more work but worth it in my opinion. A dedicated video camera is expensive and does not guarantee a good audio.

+Farouk Cherchali Yeh,record audio seperately...I almost bought a shotgun mic for that. Anyhow,thanx for your support Farouk. I aint in it for the money but for love of the sport and helpn where i can. Cheers

Would these wheels be okay for someone at 100kg's, I ride fairly smooth and take care to avoid potholes etc
@stevenleffanue8 жыл бұрын
yes,they have maximum weight rating of 120kg.

+oz cycle yoleo state 105kg's which company are 120 ?
@stevenleffanue8 жыл бұрын
+PlantBasedPedalling Thank you for pointing this out. Yes,seems Yoeleo are changing quite a few things on their new web pages. Looks like maximum weight bearing is 115kg for 60mm and 88mm. You should still be fine with this. For some reassurance have a chat to Katrina by email or facebook link. I will mention it to her for you.

+PlantBasedPedalling I just spoke to Katrina,100kg is just fine. When ordering,tell them you spoke to me (Oz cycle) about this...we will all look after you.

+Jesus Cisneros Thanx Jesus. I took a look on ebay. The seller has a few negative feedbacks (and that is only short term). Positive longterm feedback is good to consider but it seems there isnt much on these wheelsets yet. Perhaps you could try them out and let us know?

I've had my Yoeleo 50 wheels for a year now, put in over 5,000km on them. Still true as the day they came, still rolling fast, and after I went with upgraded brake pads, great braking.

+Nicholas Hutchinson Not really...Yoeleo are great to deal with. Just state the details for your wheels....hub type and colour.10 or 11speed. Spoke type and colour,etc,etc. Dont forget prices are usually in $US . Mention me and they should do a deal for you too. Enjoy your new wheels :)

Anyone have experience with the carbon speed cycle wheels?
@xavi30028 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, watched your videos with interest, I am looking for a treat with carbon wheels. I have an endurance bike (Specialised Roubaix) and do rides in finland on road with average speed of 30km/h. I tested a set of Ursus out of price wheels (Miura T47 Team Edition) and was very convinced by what it brings. You think I can get same perf from a set of Yoeleo C50, with DT swiss hub and Sapin spokes? By the way, I am a 85-90kg rider. At 750€, it's still half price compared to the first, heavier, European set (Supra wheels). Thanks for your upcoming advice! ;-)
