The thing is, when you hop into a Chinese MG (I had an HS as rental recently) it's actually pretty nice. The materials used feel good, there's a big screen, and you get a sense of quality. But on a fundamental level the stuff that actually matters hasn't changed. The sound system was pretty bad, it was slow, it wasn't that efficient (especially not for a 1.5L), the bright red "super sport" button on the steering wheel looked pretty nice but actually being in super sport mode changed fuck-all. The seats looked pretty nice, but they were a bit too stiff. The traction control system wasn't even advanced enough to apply the brake to the slipping wheel when driving up at gravel hill. That's shit that was included with the fucking Holden Adventra. Did I mention that it's not even AWD?

I've owned a mitsubishi 380vrx for 5000 which had a fully decked out leather interior, sunroof, surround sound and was fast as fuck. There are loads of other used suvs and wagons or sedans for cheap with interiors nicer, better quality and ride for a quarter of the price

Application of the brakes to a wheel that has lost traction in a tcs is fundamental and exactly how tcs works. As for awd it would be violently unnecessary for a small, 1.5L hatchback and would only make the car slower and less dynamic with the extra weight.

The issue is not the fact that the product is Chinese, it's the fact that it has Chinese levels of QC. I am writing this on a Chinese-made product, a Macbook to be exact, which is assembled by Foxconn in China, however Apple oversees the QC of the product that comes out of Foxconn's factory and forces the factory to make changes. If you let Chinese companies do their own QC it ends up with products with so many corners cut they end up being veritable garbage.

The majority of all the intricate components (CPU/GPU, controller ICs, screens, RAM, etc...) are made in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, US or some EU country. If we are going by 'product review', GWM ute = 3.9 star MK8 Hilux = 3.1 star Isuzu D-MAX RC.II = 3.3 star Not a terribly meaningful metric lol

You know there's a dude who lives a few suburbs away who owns 2 MG 6s (the only two I have ever seen of course). And you wouldnt believe it, but his other car is an AU falcon. Now that's fucking insane right... and it was a 6 wheel ute lmao

You can selectively report whatever you find online. The fact is that Chinese cars have become more and more popular in Australia and elsewhere.

Brilliant video bloody funny but full of facts, I almost want to buy an au falcon ute.

ive got an au sedan and almost bought a manual ute too, great cars to drive

@@yorakhunt69 Down the track, an AUTE will likely be a better investment than the sedan, particularly a V8 manual tabletop. Buy one..........and lock her away 😎👉🛻

Those eshays cant afford to fix a hole in their TNs let alone get a Chinese car, the only car they would drive is a chinese scalded cat

chinese ev's are great. i just watched a video from 'serpentza' showing them all spontaneously combusting and are incredibly hard to put out.
@jay-uo2bi Жыл бұрын
serpentza and laowhy are just farming views. Their videos are not remotely accurate or meaningful anymore. But, believe what you want to believe.

That's just an EV problem in general really. Lithium packs do that when they're short circuited.
@Neojhun Жыл бұрын
Nope he's just been brainwashed. Nonsense Anti EV misinformation. That video is not at all accurate.
@Neojhun Жыл бұрын
@@rtmpgt Probability of that is extremely rare, your petrol car is way more likely to catch on fire. It's just super clickb8 high traffic when it happens to a BEV.

@@rtmpgt kzbin.infoNb4di5WXXmA Here is an Audi eTron in such a bad crash that the battery pack got ejected. Yet no fire. I think the worst case is the Attempted Murder case of the doctor who drove a Tesla Model Y over a "250ft" Cliff.
