No wonder. Typhoon is now 20 years old fighter jet without much upgrade due to lack of budget or interest. J-10C is upgraded few times for last 20 years, as recent as 2017. So in current configuration, J-10C has technical edge over Typhoon. Fight jet technology is constantly moving target. Without timely upgrade, any advanced fighter jet will be overtaken by later development.

Not true at all the Eurofighter was originally a interceptor before it became a air superiority and later a multi role combat aircraft designed long after dogfighting was no longer possible. The J-10 is a poor copy of the F-16, which was designed almost exclusively as a dogfighter in the 70's.

Typhon is a front-line multirole fighter in the Royal Airforce and is actively being used in the current Red Sea operations against Houti targets in Yamen. The capabilities of Typhon can not underestimated as compared to any other top-of-the-line multirole fighters in the world today. Due to its capabilities, Saudis and Turkish Ariforces are looking towards Typhon. In comparison, the Typhon is a Western aircraft and superior to the Chinese J10 C in all respects. But PAF pilots are second to none and this could be the differentiating factor.

I have respect for Abhi Nandan and must be a good pilot. It was the fault of his superiors and IAF planners who underestimated the capabilities of its enemy and pitched a Mig-21 against JF-17 thunders and F-16 Block 52, PAF blinders, and superior tactics. Men behind the gun or machine are equally important. PAF pilots are second to none and the differentiating factor in these or any other exercise or real missions. PDF F-16 Block 52 shot down Indian SU-30 MKI in February 2019 due to the combination of a good machine and a good man behind the machine. That is the reason china developed more confidence in Pakistan and offered its 5th generation J-31 to Pakistan. I am sure the Chinese will be proud of Pakistani pilots using the J-10 C and make it famous and superior in the entire world.

The PAF is probably the second best Air Force in the world. It has a positive kill record against Soviets', Indians and even Israel. Its not just about the jets. Its about the whole arsenal and mission planning which is decades advanced then Qatar. Qatar will lose even with a Rafale. The real match will be between USAF with their F18 Hornets and Pakistani with the J10C.

I am highly skeptical. Under what scenarios did the engagements in this exercise take place? For example, was it beyond visual range or within visual range? All aircrafts have their weak and strong points. There will be scenarios where a Typhoon with its weapons package will excel over a J10, and at the same time there will be scenarios where a J10 with its weapon system can out perform a Typhoon. A good pilot understands the capabilites of his aircraft and will then try to utilize the strong points of his aircraft to gain an advantage over his adversary in an engagement. The pilot who can best utilize the strong points of his aircraft will be the victor. Unless the rules of engagement in this execise is known it would be next to impossible to come to any conclusion.

During another multi national event in the UAE the French 'umpire' especially reached the Pakistani side with "you guys are killing machines" message.
